I didn't waste my time watching the video, but to all the people saying stuff like "She is sooo original and fresh..."

Lady Gaga is in NO WAY a 'wannabe' Madonna - Madonna never produced, wrote, composed or even thought of any of her songs - she doesn't even have a unique singing voice. Gaga has the vocal talent, composition ability and song-writing skills, so if you're even comparing her to Madonna then you really need to get a reality check, because Madonna is WAY below Gaga on the talent scale.

I don't understand WHY you would write a comment just to claim that a certain person is ugly, what a waste of everyones time. She is certainly not ugly by any means. If you wan't to see someone that is 'ugly' type it in google and you'll find yourself ..
She's a performer and she's performing, what is so wrong with that? Who would want to watch a video of an artist just sitting on a stool, that's not going to make us want to get up and dance is it?
Children are going to listen to her music (whether parents like it or not) but they're not going to think about the lyrics are they? They're just gonna enjoy the tune and sing along and keep playin with their barbies or whatever ..
It's music, if you don't like it don't listen to it. And don't keep critising, it doesn't make you look good and we definately don't like you for it, so go to hell :)

I would really like to see some of these singers who rely on sexually orientated videos and/or gyrating their bodies in a provocative manner, to be forced into wearing ordinary clothes and sing standing still.
Why does a song have to be accompanied by this sort of behaviour? I have to say this is not as bad as some I have seen, but bad enough.
Would you still buy the song, if you hadn't seen the video...isn't that what music is about...listening?

I think Lady Gaga is more of a role model to children because she's different... Most kids get bullied for being different these days.. I think she promotes self-confidence because of all the weird clothes she wears! Yet, she pulls it off well. There's nothing raunchy about this video. She's just dancing around.. You can't actually see anything offensive..

I love Lady GaGa and it's just a shame that some people aren't open minded enough to listen to her music or like her because she's different.. So surely we're the ones setting a bad example here?

I agree with marve totally. I am fed up with these kinds of songs and videos. What the mostly teenage audience here doesn't get is that there is such a thing called "sexualization of children" and it is going on in our country today. This is repeated exposure to sexual material and it is getting to our kids no matter how hard we parents try to keep them away from it. Early sexual exposure is harmful to children, but every song, video, teen star, which kids do look up to, Miley Cyrus, etc. dancing on a pole, you can't stop your kids from watching the kids choice awards. How do we know Miley's going to end up on a pole? Role Model?? The girls look up to her and the others and they are sluts. So, girls learn the only way to get ahead or accomplished is be being a sex object. Didn't we try to get rid of that with feminism? No, all we got was we all get to work in addition to being mothers and we get access to abortions to kill the kids that guys made and don't want us to have so they don't have to have responsibility. Great. I hate so much of our society I can see why the Arabs think we are trash.

I don't know how recently she made that video but it looks like she's tryin' to imitate Michael Jackson's 'Bad' video from way back when - the moving chorus, the sexy stuff, the subway setting - she takes it all out to something else, of course, but I think the influence is there - bet we'll see alot of singers nodding to MJ, as more people look at his whole history of work.

Children don't become teenage parents because of songs. Seriously. Give your kids a little more credit. Give yourself more credit for raising them! Do parents really think they did such a crappy job that they're kids will go out and become parents because of a SONG?
Our society IS more focused on sex, but in every generation things become less taboo.(which is a good thing, I'd like to know the statistics of young girls who had complications after back-street abortions) And, although we do need to do more to lower the number of teen pregnancies, I think the way to that is more about education and access to contraceptives than anything. Not banning songs that will soon go out of fashion is people don't allow themselves to get all riled up about it.

I agree it's not suitable for children(under 12's), so petition for two videos to be made, or turn it off, set up a parental lock.
As for the lyrics, don't we have freedom of speech in this country? If she wants to talk about "disco sticks" and the like, let her. Tell kids it's something else. Lie. Just like you do every christmas when you say Santa's coming.
As for her repeatedly grabbing herself, again like someone else said, Michael Jackson did it. Years ago, or is that different because he had a 'disco stick' ?
She's not encouraging teenagers to have sex, she's not saying "Do it without a condom" she's saying she likes sex. So what?

What was so bad about this video that it was banned? It can't be because she is naked and covered in rhinestones- Britney Spears did the same thing in her Toxic video and that went over fine. It can't be that she's dancing in a variety of leotards. Beyonce does it and everyone hails her. It can't be that she grabbed her crotch at the end- Michael Jackson did it and everyone called him the king of pop. And it certainly can't be because she is seen making out with a variety of men- how many other female stars have done the same thing? For people to say that young children shouldn't be watching videos like this is just stupid. If you don't want your child to watch mtv or music videos be a parent and discipline them. Lady GaGa is a young, extremely sexy woman and as such she is being victimised for it. Take Madonna for instance, the most popular woman singer in history, she might think she is sexy but at 50 odd years old she should know better but yet she gets away with looking trashy. It really annoys me that alot of music videos are so 'sexy'.
For me to watch videos where the stars are half dressed, touching themselves or immitating sex acts is fine, they don't bother me in the slightest, But i have a 6yr old daughter who loves music and music videos, and its ridiculous when i have to turn the channel over because its too provocative for her to watch.

Regarding the song, it's good to dance to. Nothing incredible. As for the video, for this day and age I don't think there is a thing wrong with it. It's ultra sexy, but it IMO it doesn't cross the line. Now if a 10-year-old were watching, I might have a problem with that. And with so many kids online today, that is an issue.
