"LET me give you a piece of relationship advice," the lovely KATY PERRY told me the other day. "We will love you so much, make you beans on toast and butter your bread.
"But if you break our heart, we will take the butter knife and cut you into little pieces and put you in the freezer."
This was the interesting result of me and singleton Perry gassing on about boys and relationships when I caught up with the flu- ridden Brit winner in Manchester.
Despite being a little under the weather, she still managed to bring the house down later during a blistering show at London's Koko. Katy recently split from boyf TRAVIS McCOY (who, I'm assured, isn't in her freezer).
She said: "I'm still available. I could have an English boyfriend.
"I think it could be nice but I'm not sure I'm ready for love."
But I think quite a few Brit boys will be ready to risk a slow death through a blunt knife for the chance to go out with her.
Katy - whose new tune Thinking Of You has been on constant repeat on my iPod - also broke her silence about her and BENJI MADDEN of GOOD CHARLOTTE, the ex-fella of PARIS HILTON.
"I know it looked as if we were canoodling," said my new CelebXS Icon. "But he was talking into my ear because the music was so loud."
Thank god he wasn't trying to butter her up!
