Tears of X Factor's Diana
DIANA Vickers' publicity-shy boyfriend was in the audience last night as she stunned nine million viewers by professing her love for fellow contestant Eoghan Quigg.
On hearing she had become X Factor's latest casualty the 17-year-old Lancashire lass broke down and sobbed, embracing an emotional Eoghan with whom she has been linked romantically.
She could be heard through the tears saying: "I love you Eoghan, so much".
But her boyfriend, Manchester University student Chris Jones, 18, was just metres away in the live studio audience.
Yet according to Vickers, he didn't mind.
She said: "My boyfriend was in the crowd, he said he was proud of me."
Diana and Eoghan have consistently denied the affair.
Affair
Speaking to the News of the World she admitted she will miss spending everyday with the Irish teenager, and wants him to win the show.
She said: "I'm going to miss Cheryl, and Alex, and Eoghan and the boys
"I think that Alexandra might win, but I want Eoghan to win."
And she hasn't ruled out a Kylie Minogue and Jason Donavon-style duet with the High School Musical wannabe in the future.
"Maybe, we'll see what happens," she said.

Kylie and Jason famously recorded Especially For You in 1988, while having a secret affair that they denied to the press.
Now the she has left the show, Diana joked she will be chasing up Take That's Gary Barlow who told her last month: "If Simon doesn't sign you up, I will."
She said: "Yeah, I should go after him!"

I think Diana Vickers and Eoghan Quigg wolud make a perfect couple. I was really upset 2 see Diana go. I thought J.L.S wolud of gone to be honest. On saturday J.L.S will come 3rd place,dont know who want to win because love them both. I really want Eoghan to come 1st place but i think Alex has a very strong voice. Thank god she has gone. I'd had about as much of her whiney out of tune voice as I could take. If you actually listened through the whining, she didn't reach any of the big notes, and was totally flat all the time. Oh and don't even get me started on those hands, or the stupid chicken walk, or the dragged through a hedge backwards look!!!!
I don't mind who wins now, they are all good in their own way, just glad it wasn't Diana!!

JLS will def go out next, they are laughable and have ripped off everything that died with boybands in the 90's. Alex is clearly the only real star that - Diana is a spolit little brat and it is astonishing she ever made it past the second round yodelling her way through with that crap voice.
