ok so people think it is a fix - why ! Laura was not very good on Saturday so obviously she was not going to get the votes. Ruth was so much better than Laura on the sing off too. What is the point if everyone gets annoyed when their favourite goes home. Personally I like Diana but I dont expect everyone to share the same opinion - I think she is different and has the X factor, for me Laura was sickly sweet with no personality and I couldn't see her with sell out concerts and maybe the judges thought this too.

me and quiet a few of my family and friends will not be watching x factor anymore as it was truely unfair and totally wrong for laura to be kicked out ,we believe that cheryl made loui angry with her comment about not turning jls into westlife,he was furious and for that he got back at her by voting laura off,which means he was not very professional and the vote was unfair ,,,the only one that suffered was laura how unfair the Xfactor judges are ...!!!!!!!!

I agree with many of the views saying that louis was tactically voting. If it had been Diana there he would have booted her to as she is in the running. I won't be watching from now on as really dislike rachels attitude and I think Ruth is getting too diva like and preoccupied by her own looks like I care whether her hair looks better straight of curly its about your voice. I like the others but I really thought Laura should have been in the top 3. Good luck Diana and Alex though as they are both very very talented.

I love Laura and Ruth ..I think ruth just got it on the night but they should never have been in the bottom two..Rachel has an attitude problem and needs councelling..she will never get very far with her attitude no one owes her anything ! i repeat anything ! she was totally out of tune on saturday night talen....PAH ! diana is cute but her voice comes from the back of her throat ..not from the diaphragm as any real singer will tell you im disapointed with the show i really am ....contestants should watch ,listen and learn from LEONA LEWIS ( FACT)

Why everyone was bothering on voting when one contestant took a week off? I didn't vote las week for that simple reason.That's not fair on the others who are working really hard. Simon and Louis were right to vote her off her performance was week this weak, Ruth and Alex were far better and Laura is not to be trusted as she has broken the rules of the show by going out with an executive and keeping her relationship a secret and then showing off running around with a sheer top and no bra like a tart after having a 1/2 hour dating session in the executives car pretty obvious what they were getting up to in there.mmm!!.The judges not only judge on peoples singing but the way someone acts off camera and her actions were out of order so why should they offer a girl that acts like that a deal (trouble) when there are other singers as good as gold not trying to be some kind of princess.She has no respect for the other contestant, running around like a little madame and thinking she will win and get away with it because she is dating her sugar daddy Please!! She was out o order and the public don't like that sort of thing.They gave her a chance with a new image but she still looked dull as dish water. So good I'm happy she is out. IF she stayed in and won you would all be saying it was a fix so you can not win either way. The public voted her out because they have lost a lot of respect for Laura over the last week or so so please don't have a go at the judges they made the right choice on all accounts. Laura and her boyfriend have done this to themselves it's called SHOOTNG YOURSELF IN THE FOOT!!! HA HA!!

Laura being voted off is ridiculous. Eoghan, yea hes cute, but you go to any local school i bet you could pick up several others who are like him. Daniel... complete sympathy vote. neither Ruth nor laura should have been in the bottom two.

In DEFENCE of Diana, she is a brilliant act, and if you actually listen to the show it was the PRODUCERS idea to not have her sing. It will affect her for the REST OF HER LIFE if she sings with all her might with laryngitis. I doubt she would've been in the bottom two and obviously the producers doubted she would be too, otherwise she would've been singing. I really hope people aren't ridiculous enough to try and vote her out next week just because the producers decided to not let her sing.

X Factor...? More like Sham Factor what is going on. Firstly they need to remove Louis. The man just makes me want to be sick in my shoe. Hes Spitefull, he slags every act off before they even sing and then he kisses there arse after? Three weeks in a row hes made the wrong decisions... im sure he just does it for the attention.

The way the show runs is just disgusting. Tactical voting, simon v Louis its just ridiculous and they dont seem to care who's chances they are ruining. No wonder strictly come dancing won at the awards and the reason being is that they dont have pathetic and petty mentors making the decisions and trying to get one over on each other.

Daniel needs to quit with the 'my wife' sob story. Its very upsetting when you loose someone however we get the point and he just uses it all the time. Rachel - She sounded bloody awful last night, she needs to go. If she wont listen to anyone now how she gunna fulfill a singing career?? Arrogant Diva.
Laura should no way have gone and I really feel for Cheryl as shes just so genuine has the best contenders.

Producers sort this mockery out its a discrace!!!!!

what a travesty. The judges should not have the last say - they are unprofessional in their judgements. Daniel pleasant singer but on sympathy vote, Rachel was the pits, Austin was great - he wen't, now my favourite Laura who by any means of the imagination is a great singer is out. What a rigged show. Only the public should vote ....I think most of us are mad at what is happening!!!

I feel that The X Factor needs seriously looking into. How is it possible to make an exception for 1 person who is sick and still vote for everyone else. I think that the fairer option would have been to not let anyone go out last night, because Diana now has a free ride for next week. I am not saying she was nt ill but its totally unfare she got through to the next round without performing,. I think that the voting is bad as well I vote every week but struggled last night with phonelines. The fair thing would be to re instate Laura and let 2 acts be voted off further down the line. Also if the public are meant to be voting how come Louis gets to pick, deadlock would have been fairer, it is definitly looking like judges tactically voting acts out that are a threat to their own acts. Simon get rid of Louis and get someone who knows what they are talking about. I think Cheryl is brilliant, so down to earth and not afraid to have her say. Fingers crosed something gets done or evryone boycots the show.

I personally wasn't a big fan of Laura and I agree with Simon's comments about her on Mariah week. I was a bit suprised that she was in the bottom two though not cause i liekd her or the performance but cause she was apparently the `hot ticket` almost everyone was rootnng for her to win or at least get into the final. Even Danni said she thought Laura would win it. And recent internet polls said that she was 2nd favourite contestant to win, the first being Diana. I guess it goes to show how hard x factor is you make one mitkae and it could get you kicked out of there.

1. Ruth is vocally the best in the competition.
2. There seems to be some sore losers, concerning Laura... They've obviously got some problems in accepting anything.
3. Laura is going with some millionaire, so don't cry too much.
4. There seems to be some prejudice of the british female x factor singers towards Ruth, which is bang out of order. See the show that followed results. Alexandra, Hollie et al seem to be horrible to her. Immature they are.
5. Ruth to win, if there is any justice. Vocally the best and pretty as well. Has a great persona on stage.

As some hav already said, this is a singing competition, therefore sob stories don't wash with me at all.
I loved Rachel's first audition, yet she's failed to impress me ever since and last night was her worst night yet (not that the others have been much better!). She was off key several times, yet the judges never mentioned that - I reckon they've been told to lay off her due to her sob story in the press.
It was the worst choice of song type anyway, not to mention the fact that the majority of songs weren't even hers!!!
The best for me were JLS, Alexandra and Ruth, athough she too hit some bum notes. Must be the only person in Britain to say this, but I don't like Laura's voice - too high and warbly, especially singing the gorgeous-voiced Eva Cassidy's version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
That said, it should have been Rachel and Daniel last night. What is the public thinking of. And if indeed it was swayed by Chris Moyles, get him off the radio and people - don't be sheep.....vote for who has TALENT!!!!!!

Totally gutted for her but not shocked anymore. The same thing happened on x factor last year!

I hate all these sob stories.

What is it about Ruth? She is not sexy, she actully has bucked teeth and big froggy eyes. However when it comes to it Simon & Louis have pound signs rolling in there eyes when it comes to her! She can make money in the UK, Spain, Latin America etc. Personally I can't stand her. Shout a song.....yeah so can I.

I also think the voting system should be changed. I don't believe the public would have wanted Laura to go.

Also why do we have to star weeks anyway? This is X factor not American Idol. The contestants should beable to choose there own songs to suit there style. I think the whole of last night was an embarassment to british talent! How many people can pull off Maria Carey for christ sakes. Let them do there own thing like in previous x factor series.

Let the vote go to the public full stop and maybe we can all get back to enjoying x factor and discovering british talent.

Simon sort your self out or loose your viewers not to mention lots of money.

Although I don't think she should have gone who she is dating had nothing to do with it, her boyfriend isn't a producer on x-factor btw he is the guy from the applause store that provides the audiences for x-factor and other shows that is his only connection to the show. Why did Diana go through on a default as well - why didn't they stop the voting this week to make it fair to all the competitors for starters?

Why did Louis NOT take the decision to the public vote which would have make it fairer as well?

OMG what a shambles the show was last night. My family nor I will be watching it again. Laura should not have been voted off and Louis was so wrong. He is the one that should go. He is just jealous of the remaining acts just because he only has one groupl left. Danni should go too. However it's the end of the road for the show. It has no where to go as its just become a pantomine. There is no clear favourite as in previous years and no outstanding performer. Eoghan should cut his hair as its a mess. Daniel should not even been there. Rachel is going for the sympathy votes. Diane should not have got into the next round without singing. What a fix. JLS are dreadful. Alexander I can just about tolerate. No wonder Strictly Dancing won the award and well done them for giving us entertainment value.

Last night was a travesty and had a lot to do with Chris Moyles encouraging everyone to vote for Daniel to annoy Simon and Louis, well it worked and we have now lost one of the most talented singers in the final, Rachel and Daniel should have been bottom two (as much as I like both of them). Of course Simon and Louis were going to vote off the act that is the biggest threat to them but to be fair Ruth did a better job in the sing off than Laura. Laura needn't worry though with her talent you can bet Simon has already given her a recording contract with Sony BMG and if not someone else will snap up this amazingly talented young woman and rightly so.

I cannot understand why a person’s background, history, or current personal circumstances has anything to do with the person’s ability to carry out what they are supposed to do i.e. in the case of the X-FACTOR, perform and sing in a professional manner to beat the competition and aim to become the overall winner. I am a former heroin and crack user, who lost both his wife and child to drugs, yet I do not expect sympathy from my customers when working at a supermarket checkout.

Although Laura is not the best singer (Alexandra is by a country mile), there is no way she should have been in the bottom two last night, neither should Ruth. The bottom two should have been Daniel (nice guy, but out of his depth) and Rachel (find her quite obnoxious really, as well as singing so out of tune I thought she was in pain). Can't help think Chris Moyle's "Save Daniel" campaign was an influence - I like Moyle's, I listen to his show most days but his misguided attempt at humour on this occasion has, I believe, been a key part in Daniel escaping this week)!

Dear oh dear what has happened to this show? Laura "the voice" as Louis called her last week, "world class" as Simon called her, tactically voted off by the two hypocrites. Eoghan the ewok with the monotone voice remains, Daniel!!!???? jesus even Simon thinks hes better than rubbish now, out-of-tune Rachel looked like a car crash last night, Ruth is more a sex-symbol than singer, JLS are ok but not goosebump giving singers, and I must say Alexandra is the clear favourite. Diana's credibility is now gone reading some of these comments, dont be surprised if she goes next week. Enjoyed this show at the start but wont be watching this contrived celebrity death-match (Simon vs Louis) any more. Laura is the best singer.

lets face it, laura wasnt great last night, in fact she hasnt really matched the promise she showed singing 'cry me a river' back in boot camp. yeah she should have lasted longer granted, but she was never gonna be the winner, shes not unique enough-shes just another ballad belter. diana though it was probably unfair to give her a bye does have something different to offer, and ruth is really selling herself as a credible rock chick-she has passion unlike many still left. saying that i dont bother voting since they scrapped the text vote- phoning up and not getting through is too much hastle.

I am absolutely gobsmacked by the results of last night.

All i think of is that Louis obviously wants his act to win and therefore will vote off all the strong contestants to better that chance.

Simon obviously went to talk to Laura to ensure she signs with him over the many other contracts that she will get offered.

All i say is she should think long and hard and maybe sign elsewhere to disconect herself from the show as much as possible.

Its an absolute disgrace to claim that they will base final decision on final performances a lone when week after week Louis comes up with some rubbish reason to axe acts with the better talent, and whatever happened to mixing up who has the final vote on the show.

X Factor is def off my list of viewing, after following through from POPSTARZ, POP IDOL, and X FACTOR you have def lost a fan - and clearly by the comment above, many many more!!!!

I am sorry for his wife but I think he is a talentless moron and he should have been up against one of the girls last night. Those two performers should only be in competition with each other once the nonsense like Daniel has been booted out. Loui had the chance to do so two weeks ago but kept him because he reduced him to tears with a song. The moron is milking it, and he has all the help he needs from Radio 1 Chris Moyels who doesnt care about the chances he is ruining. Danni is to blame for letting him through to the competition, she did it out of sympathy. Now he could knock her best performers and she could end up like last year with yet another has been, accept Daniel isnt going anywhere, his record will flop unless Moyles buys it of course, and I hope Radio 1 BAN IT

How does Eoghan keep getting through he is average week in and week out. The one true star who had a bad week this week gets kicked off and some little snot nosed kid who looks like a pikey manages to get through. Definatly some dodgy politics going on in this show its obvious that the x factor is scared of being branded racist or predjudice hense why no one with talent is gonna make it to the final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may not have been done before on the X Factor, but on Pop Idol (both Simon Cowell shows) when Rick Waller was too ill to sing he had to quit the show. He may have been overweight but he could sing a bit.

I think Laura may do well. Look at Lemar from Fame Academy - he was a shock exit and now look at him!

Laura has one of the best voices in the show better then Ruth so i DON'T UNDERSTAND how she wasn't kept in.
Ruth was meant to be the better singer last nigth cos she moved her head about and screamed.

I can't believe it, first Austin's booted off and now Laura, I would say 2 of the best finallists the X Factors ever had. They are clearly better than who they were against in the sing off and i am truly disgusted and makes me not want to bother to watch the programme anymore.

The last few weeks have been a farce. Louis didn't have anything good to say about Daniel the week he beat Scott in the sing off, however Louis then seemed to do a mock cry and proceed to vote off Scott. The following week Austin out sings Rachel and Louis votes off Austin. Then Last night although neither sing off was great, Ruth started off sounding like a drunker Courteny love and Louis still voted off Laura and seeming to pretend it was the hardest decision in the world. I'd have more respect for him if he just said "Laura, you're the biggest threat to my act so I'm sending you home." I'm not going to waste my time watching the show anymore as I think the judges pride in winning stands in the way of finding someone with genuine talent.

i think laura deserved to go out of the bottom two as she wasn't as good on the night.
having said that daniel, rachel and that little irish t*** (no not louis) eoghan sholud even be there in the first place.
diana maybe should have sang but still deserves a chance, she is a great singer and makes every song she sings her own.
also ban the judges and all this bottom two b******s
if they have the least votes they should go simple as that.

A total and utter disgrace. I have not yet heard someone sing as out of tune as Rachel yesterday. She was completely dreadful. How many chance is she going to be given to do what the judges seem convinced she is capable of!?!? She gets it wrong week after week and yet last week Austin went and now this week the best singer in the competition!? Something doesn't seem right about all this and I really hope an investigation takes place.

One minute Laura's world class and Rachel is dreadful (according to both Louis and Simon) and the next she's voted off the competition and we're expected to believe it was a fair and unbiased vote?? Please.

I was so angry with x factor last night especially at Simon and Louis because even though Louis getting all the blame for voting Laura out, lets face it Simon is to blame too. I love both girls and Ruth is getting better every week but Laura is amazing. We all know that Daniel should be well and truly gone and Rachel has been terrible week after week and who knows why the voting went as it did. Louis should have without doubt took it to deadlock then he wouldn't be at the hands of all this critisim which he totally deserves. Also is it me or is he getting nastier and more personal with people, very uncalled for, I'm starting to dislike Louis big time. I also noticed the fact that Diana was shouting and screaming on bonfire night but didn't perform hmmm......I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!

What a Farce. What a travesty. After last nights farcical show lets see how the viewers ratings drop. Maybe it wasnt Lauras best week but it wasnt for Rachel either. But at least viewers can see the potential there and voted to keep her in. The blame has to lay at Loius feet he had the chance to vote off Daniel 2 weeks ago but blubbered through the sob story which is what viewers are doing and subsequently keep voting each week for him. Now, yes he is a nice guy but I thought the X factor was looking for someone with the talent for being a future star. Daniel will be nothing more than a club singer unfortunately and Owen is cute kid with an average voice. Whilst these are still in the game talented people like Laura are missing out on the chance they deserve to possibly win this competition with real talent. The decision was taken after 'consultation' with the other contestants - yeah right - with the final decision taken by THOSE WHO RUN THE SHOW.

Last night wasn't a good one for Laura, sad to say. She had to go.

Eoghan - good last night but a bit of a lightweight.

The more I see and hear of Alexandra Burke, the more I like. She has kept quiet in the background and just gives consistently good performances.

The result of this weeks X factor is a total sham. The two girls were the best singers. Rachel was atrocious, out of tune etc. the judges are childish squabbling amongst themselves and not giving the chance to the best singers. Don't think I will watch again, will stay with Strictly Ballroom.

I like Diana, but is no one a little suspicious that she didn't perform, she would have been weak, i watched xtra factor and she was laughing and joking out on bonfire night without a scarf!!! I just though this was odd as she was soooo ill!!

I thought Daniel and Rachel were weak and should have been in the bottom two. Laura was alright, but Alex is a true professional with real talent.

Mariah was miming the first song - badly.

I do think that Ruth deserved to stay in, her 2nd song was great.

Dear Mr Cowell, please take back control of YOUR show. Allow Judges comments by all means, but stop them from being allowed to vote - and tactically voting off anyone talented enough to threaten their own 'position' in the competition - this is NOT 'The Weakest Link', nor is it 'The Louis Walsh v Everyone Else Show'. The sympathy votes and sob stories are spoiling the whole thing - it's boring now. We just want to hear people who can sing and who have the X factor (great name for a show, that!) Let's go back purely to the public vote, and bring back text voting!

The last 2 contestant vote-offs have been a joke. The context is not fixed but manipulated to retain high phonecall rates and viewing figures etc. For the second week running, Rachel didn't sing a note properly and stayed in [to retain 'minority' interest in the tv show]. Another week, daniel simply didn't sing in the sing-off, and Scott was sent home [to retain the 'older' housewife vote].
And why does Louis always vote last and why did he not 'tie' the sing-off and go to who had the least votes from the public [especially when both did well in the sing-off]?

It was a real pitty that Laura went out. I do think she was out performed in the sing off & also beleive that the Piano idea was a bad one as it took her concentration off singing. When she stopped playing the piano in the 2nd half of her performance it was a vast improvement. By far the worst performance of the night came from Rachel. Danny said Rachel had spent all week chosing her own clothes, Song & arrangement ???? She actually looked worse than she sounded !! This girl is uglier on the inside than she is on the outside to me ! Just one look at her face which is always trying to conceal an evil looking frown in enough. Her voice is anoying and way off key.......a perfect match for her personality ! I think they are keeping her in for the poor bad girl comes good factor (which should read jail bird ex druggy with 60% of her children in care repeatedly gets away with murder on tv factor). Simply ask yourself who do you hear mouthing off every week mumping on & constantly playing the poor kids card ? No one else is constantly moaning ! I no Daniel isn't the best singer & neither is Eoghan but a least they are keeping there mouths shut excepting critisim & instructions & doing their best every week & improving whilst doing it ! I wish they would boot That mouthy gravel throated badly spoken evil faced .........person off ! Check out last nights episode....who on the pannel said it was a good performance ? Just Danni ! Because she had too !!!

If any of you posting here, or those merely reading these remarks, actually think that the "cute" little Eoghan Quigg can sing, then the music industry is doomed indeed. His notes are as false as they can get, and yet Simon simply say's "You had a few bum notes", and still praises the kid. JLS are no better than most groups who are just starting off, and Louie needs to stop hoping for another Westlife ... it will never happen. Daniel can sing, but unfortunately is no where near the league that the 5 girls/women are in the competition. Laura & Ruth are both very talented singers & should never have been anywhere near the bottom 2 last night ... I think the only reason Rachel is still on the show is cos when she is in the bottom the judges are too scared to boot her off in case she throws a tantrum.
Laura should not have been booted off but maybe that was done cos its been leaked that she is dating someone in the production team.
Diana is cute but she can't sing, yet she is the favourite to win. I think the only real talent left is Alexandra.

I am gutted that Laura left and feel it was a tactical decision to vote her off because she was so good. But you know what, they've done her a favour because she can pursue her own career as a singer/songwriter with her own style, not be spoilt like Leona Lewis. The songs Leona sings are pop trash and do not showcase her beautiful voice.

I have always been a fan of x factor and have watched every series without fail. However, this is getting ridiculous. The public are voting for who they like and not for talent!! Laura and Ruth were not the worse two contestants last night. It should have been Rachel and Daniel in the bottom two. Although I agree with the judges decision that Ruth was better. Her voice and performance were superior to Laura's, who has a good voice but seems to lack passion and the ability to perform.
Why do the judges keep saying Rachel is good when she hits so many bum notes. She does not have star quality and has a real bad attitude. Other contestants, in the past have been slated for their attitude and things they have done in their past. So why does she continue to get away with it? As for Daniel, nice guy but please!! he shouldnt be there. He was much better in the auditions and boot camp. Danni has made him older and frumpy. Sorry but he needs to go.

I'm a huge fan of Laura. Bottomlines ?? Well, Cheryl did not choose her the best song in the world. "Endless Love" is a duet and a tune that can not handle much change. It's just dull !!
Her sing off performance was outstanding !
Without a doubt, the vote should have been taken to deadlock. Was simon tacktical voting... no. He knew what the vote from Cheryl and Danii would be. He would have hoped that Louis would have gone to deadlock. You could tell Simon was peeved with the result, he was not available for comment on Xtra Factor. When ever something rubbish happens, he is gone.

Laura white can knock spots off Diana, Daniel Rachel and Eoghan, yet they're in and she's out. Travesty.

the x factor was only worth watching for laura and a couple of others. Now Laura is gone I won't be so bothered to tune in - watch the ratings drop dramatically next week! Who the hell kept rachel and daniel in the comp? Rachel forgets her words and sings off key. They know deep down that they are not as good as Laura. I am in disbelief, Laura was one of the best, although I am still supporting Ruth also. You will go on to do good things Laura, I am looking forward to an album coming out.
