The Scottish musician had been due to appear on spin-off show the Xtra Factor on ITV2 later in the evening.
But he was ejected from the studios after hijacking the twins performance of Queen's Under Pressure - running across the stage holding a pineapple to his head.
And the dance star has been banned from the X Factor studios for life for the prank.
Following the incident, he tweeted: "Was just thrown out of X Factor for jumping onstage during Jedward with a pineapple on my head."
But the producers were left unimpressed by his antics, and promptly cancelled his appearance on the Xtra Factor.
Host Holly Willoughby said: "He used to get all the girls. Now he just gets kicked out.

"He has been shown the back door quite promptly. Naughty, naughty Calvin."
The prank was clearly planned.
Earlier in the day Harris had posted a picture of a pineapple on Twitter - labelling it "important".
But on learning that it hadn't been well received he tweeted again: "At the end of the day I had a pineapple on my head. Sorry if I caused anyone embarrassment. P.S - I love Jedward!"
Harris, 25, was replaced by radio presenter Nick Grimshaw on the Xtra Factor while fans swamped the internet to debate whether it was some sort of protest or just a stunt to help him sell records.
Some posters also thought Calvin had bared his bottom.
One blogger posted: "OMG as if John and Edward Grimes aren't hilarious enough on their own, some nutcase just crashed the stage and mooned during their performance."
Another wrote: "I couldn't work out what happened. I thought it was one of the dancers. Fair play to the twins, it didn't phase them."
The singer-songwriter's two biggest hits are Acceptable in the 80s and The Girls.
Calvin - whose real name is Adam Wilds from Dumfries - also collaborated with Dizzee Rascal on his number one hit Dance Wiv Me.
But last night he really made his name in front of millions of X Factor viewers in possibly the most famous stage invasion since Jarvis Cocker wiggled his bottom at Michael Jackson at the 1996 Brit awards.
Presenter Dermot O'Leary was left shocked by the incident.
He said: "I saw it from the side of the stage. It was one of those moments where everyone just stopped and said "who's that?".
"The boys were terrific to just carry on."
