SIMON Cowell's closest aide has ripped into Cheryl Cole and warned her: Lay
off Danyl Johnson - he's in danger of a Susan Boyle style MELTDOWN.
Ex pop star Sinitta - who's always by Cowell's side backstage - described Cheryl's behaviour towards Danyl, 27, as "quite hideous".
And she called the judge, whose maiden name is Tweed, a smug "Little Miss Cheryl Tweedy-pie" who Simon thinks should be knocked down a peg or two.
Last weekend tearful Danyl had to be comforted by Sinitta after his shaky rendition of Aerosmith's Don't Wanna Miss a Thing.
It followed a barrage of criticism from Cheryl, 26, over his personality. Yesterday Sinitta, 43, said: "It's outrageous for Cheryl to target him personally. It's out of order and just mean.
There is NOTHING to justify these comments that he's not likeable, that he's not a nice person, that he's a horrible guy.
"Not everyone can turn you on and be your favourite - but to show your personal distaste just because you don't like the person they are is quite hideous. It's not fair."
Sinitta told how early favourite Danyl - who is accused by some of being too cocky - cracked after last week's show, when he blamed not being able to hear the music properly for his poor performance.
She fears Danyl, a dance and drama teacher from Reading, may go the same way as Susan Boyle - the feted Britain's Got Talent singer who ended up in The Priory clinic after weeks of criticism.
Sinitta said: "What people saw as arrogance was actually Danyl putting on a massively brave face.
"People couldn't handle the fact he was going to tough it out and get through it no matter what.
"But it was all too tough for him in the end. He was overwhelmed and nearly exploded.
"He's had all the Susan Boyle-type hype and people were going crazy about him. Then he's had to put up with being vilified and told he's more hated than Hitler.
"That's very difficult to take for a young man who has been celebrated then turned against." Sinitta revealed that Simon, who is Danyl's mentor, is now giving him closer attention.
She explained: "Danyl tried to cope with it all himself. He wasn't coming to me and Simon and saying, 'This is doing my head in, I'm freaking out here.'
"We told him, 'You don't have to carry the weight of this by yourself.'" She went on: "You don't want it to happen like it did with Susan - and neither do the public deep down.
"It might feel good for a minute thinking, 'Yeah, let's get rid of Danyl, who does he think he is?'
"But at the end of the day, you need to sit back and think what you're doing is actually destroying someone. You can't feel good about that. All this is is a kid with a dream doing his damndest to win a competition and we're all beating up on him."
Sinitta then revealed the REAL reason Simon swapped Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue's seats on the judging panel.
She said: "The girls started ganging up on him. It was like a little tea party. I thought they were going to get their knitting out and have a cup of tea together.
"Simon and Louis were on the ends with their hands in the air, saying, 'Hello! Can we get back to the show?' It was necessary to get back focus.
"I love Dannii on the end though. She's fighting her corner now and wants to get in there. It's a different dynamic." Sinitta also told how Simon is desperate to stop Cheryl winning. "Don't forget, Little Miss Cheryl Tweedy-pie, actually won the competition last year," she said.
"It's all very well to do her big eyes and say, 'Be gentle with me Simon.' But behind his back she's trying to win.
"He's trying not to be sucked in. He's saying, 'Yes, you are adorable but guess what? I want to win too!'
"It would be his worst nightmare for Cheryl to win. There is that competition there.
"Can you imagine? No1 single, No1 album, favourite judge and two-time winner of The X Factor? She might be a little smug and I don't think he could stomach it."
Despite talk of Simon leaving the show to launch X Factor in America, Sinitta believes he'll stay.
"I don't think he'd take The X Factor away from the British public. We need it too much."

If you walked into a shop and saw that a magazine has said that you are more hated than Hitler you're not just gunna throw it of are you, no you're gunna be a bit upset and Cheryl said that just because he was on the bottom two doesn't mean he can be bad but then the week after Lloyd was in the bottom two it was ok for his confidence to be knocked down? For those who have commented above that Joe and Stacey cannot sing I suggest they visit and ear specialist. Danyl might be quite a good singer but his vocals are strained at times and he needs to scream out the high notes. Joe and Stacey (and Lucie as well) as the best singers in this competition. They have never ever done the songs they were given to sing a disservice. Danyl did. His interpretation of Aerosmith's song was atrocious, out of tune and vocally extremely poor. As to saying Cheryl or Simon or whoever is going to win this competition that is all stupidity. It is the singer who will win not the judge. It is high time that the judges should stop mentoring. they cannot be called fair judges if they keep on ebing mentors as well. No one is going to boot off those they mentor. A very stupid idea.

To be honest Danyl isnt the best singer, hes a good one, but not the best! Cheryl is entitled to giving her own view as is simon louis and danni. Danyl is really annoying everyone with his "sad" performance after being in the bottom 2. Rachel was there for 2 weeks and she didnt sulk about it! Danyl tries to get the sympathy vote with his sob stories and "damaged confidence" obviously Sinitta would defend Danyl seeing hes simons act but theres no need to lash out at Cheryl for what Simon does pretty much every week which is give an honest opinion! We all love simon for his comments so why hate Cheryl for hers?

To be honest, I don't think Danyl is a great singer. He shouts his way through most of the songs. If he can't take criticism he shouldn't have auditioned for the x-factor. He needs to accept not everyone is going to like him and if he is going to succeed in the music industry he needs to toughen up. Cheryl's comments are nothing compared to the stick he would get from the media if they decide to turn against him.
Sinitta is Simon Cowell's pal so obviously she will be in favour of Simon's acts. By claiming that Danyl is at risk of a breakdown is, in my opinion, just a way of getting sympathy votes.

Cheryl's just being honest about the contestants. Danyl has been an average performer these past two weeks and as someone else said on here, Danyl needs to GROW UP. It's pathetic watching him try and win the sympathy votes by looking as though he's a kicked puppy. Ultimately, he's in a competition and has to face criticism as well as praise. If he can't take criticism, this isn't for him. And before others start saying he's been getting more criticism than praise, they should perhaps think about John & Edward, who are younger and have faced nothing but harsh comments and boo-ing from the audience each weekend. Cheryl's always been right about him - he's smarmy, smug, thinks he's better than he is and shouts his way through songs.
As for Sinitta making her catty comments, she's a tired old hanger-on who nobody even cares about anymore. She's a complete has-been and I bet Cheryl's had a good laugh at her if she's read this article.

I am so glad that most people are waking up to Cheryl`s false charms! She is very manipulative & clever.. She has no talent apart from a pretty face when plastered with make up.
Last night when i saw Danyl`s new hair cut, first thing i thought of was doesn`t he look like Cheryl`s husband! Has anyone thought that maybe the reason she took an distant dislike to him was he looks like Mr Cole.. A physcologist would have a feild day with this!!!! Watch her mask slipping even more.... About time they got rid of the 'extra' competition between the judges, and just concentrate on having 12 people in the finals and seeing who is the best, and who the public prefer. The judges are so intent on making sure that they win, they are forgetting the people who actually make the show what it is - the contestants. People are voting for Jedward because it upsets Simon Cowell, Danyl has lost the public over the comments the judges have made and more often than not, a good performance is forgotten about due to the judges arguing and taking limelight away.
The judges can help mentor all the acts, they all have their individual expertise, we can then get back to whats important.

I support Cheryl 100%. The very fact that the viewing figures went through the roof when she came onto this show as many people switched on for the first time just to see her. As for Simon Cowells ex telling Cheryl to lay of Danyl - who does she think she is?? Shes only her masters shadow.
The judges can say what they like - and they do - its the thanks to Mr Cowell and the press that we've had all the tears and drama from Danyl, its got nothing to do with what Cheryl says. Its a soap opera made for television.

cheryl cole cannot sing ,,she knows it as well thats why she was going to mime on x factor which she partly did ,, but i do think she sees danyl as a threat , and she does , bully him and so does danni , is first audition they said he as the full package confident can sing and a true professional, and i think they were hoping to get him in their group , , but simon got the overs , i actually think olly and jamie are the cocky ones and the twins, are as well lloyd can,t sing joe nothing special , but danyl gets my vote

I don't think Cheryl has bullied anyone. It'sobvious she doesn'tlike him and reading earlier reports I believe she has good reason. He was apparently being obnoxious and rude to other contestants. Danyl shouts and screams when he sings, but when he doesn't he really is a good singer. But not good enough to win. Lloyd is by far the weakest contestant and should go tonight.

I like Cheryl BUT her treatment of Danyl is really putting me off her. You can tell she cannot stand him - everyone can see it - she is using her position as a judge to whip him into "his place" - that is called bullying no matter how much of a fan of Cheryls anyone is - you have to see the difference.

Let's not forget this is a singing competition - Danyl is not running for PM, working at an orphanage or saving the world. He should be judged purely on his singing ability. NOBODY has the right to destroy somebody and to be called 'more hated than Hitler' is a terrible thing to say, he is only TAKING PART IN A SINGING COMPETITION! He is a human being and nobody should feel they have the right to knock him down just because he's on tv.

Cheryl was a precocious young madam when she entered the very early X Factor style competition. Also, don't forget that she actually married one of the most smug, cocky footballers in the country...Ashley Cole! She only changed into a more mature person when Ashley cheated on her and her world was shattered. It's wrong that she is basing her criticism of Danyl on this, rather than helping him based on her experience. I suspect it's because she sees a lot of herself and her arrogant husband in him...and doesn't like it!

Why is it when Simon voices an opinion they call it honesty, but when it's someone else they call it bullying??? I don't like Cheryl Cole, but I agree with her comments on Danyl. Sinitta is like a horrible itch on your backside you just can't get rid of no matter how much you scratch it. Stupid woman not to mention talentless she needs to find a proper job instead of hanging on to Simon's coat tails.

WHO THE HELL TOLD SINNITA SHE COULD JUDGE TALENT??? Having songs such as 'So macho' and 'Toyboy' in the 80's and still leeching off that now (when most of these kids dont remember) is ridiculous.. What a hold she must have over Simon Cowell it must be some real dirt on him for him to keep having her back as his guest judge every year.. i know that if i was a contestant and she told me i had no talent id laugh and murmer.. pot.. calling kettle!!! Ridiculous.

Hang on there Sinitta ... I seem to remember Danni critisising Danyl along the same lines as Cheryl and didn't Louis also come out with a comment along the lines of 'the public don't like you Danyl'? Wasn't it Louis that accused Danyl of bullying one of his acts? Bit harsh to lay all the critisism at Cheryls door don't you think? Or is it a case of that little green monster appearing? If we are to believe news reports Danyl once almost had a breakdown when a group he was part of split up, he couldn't take the pressure of the split (and that was just after being part of an unknown band. If that's the case and he can't handle pressure he shouldn't be in such a show! As it happens I do agree with comments the three judges have made, he comes across as being arrogant, cocky & there are better performers than him, he's not the star of the show. Last weeks performance (the little lost boy) was just that 'a performance' and a very bad one at that! You can't force the public to vote for him if they don't like him or his performing no matter how much you try to build him up as the nice, shy, considerate guy!

I think firstly Danyl needs to grow up. If he cannot hack the criticism and the publicity then frankly he is in the wrong job. Go back to the classroom mate.
Yes, he has a good voice but nothing amazing.
Sinitta is a has been and she cannot make it on her own, so she is hanging onto Simon Cowell like a lap dog. The pair of them have failed relationships and I think they are each other's security blankets.
Everyone is entitled to free speech and their own comments. If Danyl does not want this then he should pull out. At the end of the day, all the contestants have had the same from the other judges.

Danyl is a drama teacher, he can turn the tears on, and thats his job! I don't find Danyl likeable, and would hate him to win. He was great last night, and didn't see so cocky. To Joy in the 2nd post, how exactly does Simon manipulate the public? Does he do the Jedi mind trick or does the public actually have a brain that they use?
If that were the case, then am sure the public was being manipulated by Danni and Cheryl, the way those 2 have trashed Danyl is apalling, if they were at school they would be called bullies, also if Simon was truly manipulative then am sure Jedward wouldn't still be on the show as he dislikes this act no, due to the fact they cannot sing or dance what so ever.
Also, saying a judge is consistant just because she wore a nice white dress it ludcrious, she and Cheryl have consistantly ripped Danyl apart for no good reason other than the guy can sing and talk about his sexuality live on air, thats very consistant....NOT

I think Danyl is a fantastic singer, Joe doesn't do it for me at all. All the flak John and Edward are getting and they take it on the chin may seem admirably but they will never make it as pop stars and they know that so any exposure for them is incredible, for them I mean. But, Danyl is talented so maybe thats why he takes the critism so personally.

I don't know why Simon continues to indulge Sinitta, she is an attention seeker who should stop bitching about Cheryl Cole and should go and get a life. I believe her attack on Cheryl Cole is motivated
by jealousy and i wouldn't be surprised if Simon was behind it.
As for Simon, i have really gone off him ever since the incident with Rachel last week. I am beginnining to resent the way he manipulates the public.
Cheryl is also beginning to annoy me with her inane comments.

Sinitta needs to go away and stop leeching off simon. Cheryl didn't make personal comments about him being a horrible person! All Cheryl said was 'you don't do it for me'. And frankly I agree. It's nothing to do with his personality. His voice 'doesn't do it for me' either. It's hardly a personal attack.
