TWINS John and Edward Grimes outshone Hollywood stars Jim Carrey and Colin Firth before the premiere of A Christmas Carol in London last night.

The X Factor sensations were greeted with the biggest cheer of the night as they rocked up the red carpet in matching silver mod-style suits.. and spent so long signing autographs they almost missed the movie!

Even Jim Carrey's birdnest beard was put in the shade.

Has Jim seen a ghost?

John & Edward - aka Jedward - joined show faves including Welsh babe Lucie Jones, Essex stunner Stacey Solomon and guys Jamie Afro, Danyl and Llloyd at a chilly Leicester Square last night.

Bookies have now slashed the odds of the love-to-hate duo seizing the X Factor crown - and £1m recording contract with Simon Cowell - as the wave of twinsania sweeps Britain. One punter has slung a record £10,000 on the pair winning.

And here's a terrifying vision of a Christmas Future that even Charles Dickens couldn't have imagined... John & Edward at Number One.

Bah, humbug - as Ebenezer Cowell might say.

i hate them twins they can't sing, people votes dont count it's the judges all the way who pick if they stay or go. x-factor is a singing contest, if we need characters then they should go on britain got talent. i hope they go this weekend.

I only vote for the twins because I have twins and they are great. J and E are not very good singers but maybe we need characters more than the singers.
