Simon Cowell talks about twin-mania that's sweeping the country
Simon Cowell has launched a scathing attack on singing twins John and Edward Grimes (aka Jedward) saying he'll QUIT BRITAIN if they win the X Factor.
The Irish duo's out-of-sync version of Queen classic We Will Rock You on last night's show drew boos from the crowd and left Cowell shaking his head in despair.
But the bizarre brothers have survived worse (their version of Britney's Oops I Did It Again was described as toxic) and now Cowell fears they could ride into the final thanks to the public sympathy / irony / insanity vote.
Because although hundreds of thousands of people have signed up to a Facebook hate group in their name, the odds of the 18-year-old lads seizing the crown have now been slashed from 50-1 to 11-1.
And while Jedward costumes were a popular choice at Halloween parties up and down the nation, there has also been a run on sales of T-shirts bearing the words Jed We Can!
And hundreds of people have given the gruesome twosome their support on our live blog and fan page.
JoPienkowska wrote: "Seeing jedward try to do sing and dance has made my day, not to mention their hair!"
Fletch360 added: "If Jedward win and Simon leaves UK can he take me and the wife with him pls?"
But elvis_1977_8 was l less of a fan: "Oh my.. where to start with the atrocious Jedward. appalling."
Cowell shudders at the thought of having to give the twins a £1m recording contract if they win the show.
He said: "If they win it would be a complete disaster. I would get on a plane and leave the country then sulk for about six months."
Where's that phone number to keep them in again?!

Danyl is the favourite and he really messed up last night singing totally in the wrong key for 40 seconds,which say's everything about the show.
After that dibolical performance he'll survive because of his looks,sad really.

Good riddance. lets hope they win and this horrible show is ended. Then finally we can get back to a world where real musicians and song-writters can again be heard and appreciated once again, instead of the 'look at me, i'm beautiful' posers, who couldnt sing a note to save there lives. and thats just the judges?

I actually like the twins they are fun, energetic, lively, entertaining and wat more can u want from 2 young irish boys that are trying their best to stay in the competition, so people should just leave them alone and let them get on with it, i know one thing THEY ROCK MY SOCKS !!!, i look forward to seeing them every week waiting to see what they are gonna do next.

Jedward..... what a joke...they are only in the comp because they are irish....anyone else that did their kind of tripe would be slated like crazy....and old walsh would be the first to start jeering...it's alll designed to get the votes in and the ratings up....there is no way in the world that they shuold possibly win over any of the other acts....they should have been the first out.

They are dreadfull, i think the only reason louis put them through was because they are irish. If they dont go tonight i think the show will loose alot of their viewers.
Hopefully john and edward will be forgotten when the show is over and done with :)

If I had your money Simon I would leave too. What a tough life. But I do agree the twins are on the wrong show. Don't like them much as singers, dancers or entertainers.
