Anyone can see this talent.... he is an attractive man, that can sing to a comnpletely different level than the other contestants. Does it really matter that the guy is gay, bi or ....... Would we care if Leona was a lesbian? no.. she is again a attractive woman that can sing to a completely different level! enough said.

Why should it matter if he is gay, straight or bisexual. His singing is what matters and he is actually a very good singer. His sexuality shouldn't be all over the internet unless he is the one that actually says it. It's not fair on Danyl and it's the singing thats important, not his sexuality.

Whatever Danyl's sexuality is no one's business. He is the most talented on the show and is getting a hard time from judges like Cheryl who just arrived yesterday! His looks are similar to her husband hence why she dislikes him. The judges need to be professional , not pyschophants and give the contestants an opportunity to perform, allowing creativity and expression.

So what if he's gay! it doesn't matter! he's there to be judged on his singing talent, which he certainly does have. Infact i think he has the best voice in the competition and hope he wins! I'm sure millions of viewers saw last night just how rock bottom he seemed.
Leave the poor guy alone, and stop picking on him.
He's a decent educated guy who's teaching the children of Britian, and not some lazy lay about sponging off the dole. I for one hopes he wins the publics vote tonight.

Whatever anyone says, Danyl is a very talented singer. It is such a pity that in a talent show like the x-factor the competition between the judges seem to be more important than the actual singing. Although I don't think Danyl is being cocky and over-confident, I do think he has a right to be like that if you can sing the way he does. He puts lots of professional singers, including the two female judges to shame!!

It should not really matter what this chaps sexuality is if his singing is up to scratch. The difficulty is that when young women (17 and under) buy records by artists such as Danyl, they are connecting with the singer on a musical and emotional level. Therefore the record companies believe it important that an image of attainability is created. This is why Will Young kept his tastes to himself till he made the big time. Its not surprise really as a major TV music talent show creator and presenter has done the same thing all his career (not the Irish one either)!

Though I am routing for Jamie Archer, I could not understand why Danyl was in the last two last week, he has a great voice, and I don't find him arrogant in the least. It is obvious for some reason Cheryl doesn't like him, but at least he can sing without miming!!! I hope he doesn't get vote out, and so what if he is a 100% gay, we are judging him on his singing not his gender for God Sake. I felt sorry for him last night it was obvious he had taken a knock for what is said about him. I like him a hellava lot more than those stupid twins!!! Give the guy a break!!!

i feel a bit sad commenting as i dont even like the show and thats only the little bits i,ve watched.my wife watches it while i,m doing other things in the background so i ca,nt help but see and hear some of it.i think the missus only watches it for a laugh.the twins are only getting through because there,s more people voting from ireland than any of the other acts hometowns.the rules of the show are not rigid enough.ie.big band week cowels prodigy singing some other format while the other acts had to stick to it whether they were crap at it or not.And can you tell me why can cheryl cole criticise amateur live singers when she mimed herself on a supposedly live show/for those who dont know the answer/cos she ca,nt sing.

Every week he sings the songs in completely the same way: over intense and shouting. It's boring! A good singer would be able to modulate their voice more and be versatile: he doesn't and isn't. That is why I don't like him and he doesn't entertain me.

Living near Reading, everyone who knows Danyl or the friend of a friend syndrome are talking about why their is a dislike for Danyl. There hasn't been one negative comment about Danyl. In fact everyone appears to be in total disbelief and quite sad.
Last week Cheryl was receiving lots of grief before appearing on the show. She performed amazing and managed to shock many of the cynics. There were still some that said she can't sing or dance but she gave it everything and when you are so beautiful, jealousy really gets in the way of opinions, I just thought, go girl :-)
I am shocked at someone who has had this negative attention is actually fueling the hate for Danyl. She looks quite scary when she watches his performances.
Finally, when the judges are being filmed do they know? I noticed a few times last night, when the camera filmed Cheryl, within seconds she started to smile, almost smiling for the Cameras? So starting to have second thoughts on Cheryl on last night performance, on whether she just puts on an act, I hope not. However I will keep an open mind as none of us know either personally and it's easy and rather enjoyable for us humans to scorn!
Oh and btw, I think his voice is amazing and would download his music now!

I feel sorry for him because last night he crucified my favourite song - 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing!' Bring back Aerosmith - lol. He reminds me of Will Young even down to the lisp. So from the onset I guessed he was gay - he acts like it for goodness sakes. But it doesn't matter as each to his own. I think he overdoes it a bit and yes - he would be quite good at acting. I am not too keen on his voice as he shouts a bit. But then I am tone deaf and know nothing....

the only reason he has been associated with being arrogant is when it was brought up by louis and Cheryl, now loads of 'sheep' are jumping on the band wagon. There is no way just from his signing performances could anyone identify arrogance...he was just singing for Gods sake....through all the weeks we have heard the judges telling contestants they need to just give a little more, show confidence, show the 'x' factor....but because it's become a show as equally about the 'judges' now, talent is being critisised and a lack of talent is being shown sympathy and praise....You can only really respect Simons opinion now...although i don't agree with all his perceptions he seems to talk the most sense....Cheryly and Louis are jokes

No matter how popular someone is, there will always be those who put them down. Danyl is an amazing singer and it's terrible the way people have knocked his confidence. Gay or bi who cares? The days when it mattered should be long gone. Danyls talent whould be all that matters and that shines through. I hope he picks himself up and realises that there are some people who will never like him, many are probably jealous, but there are many of us he can spot real talent and those are the ones he should be listening to. As for the twins, the joke is getting stale now. Those tone deaf viewers who are voting for them for a laugh should remember how cocky and arrogant they were at boot camp- talantless and well past their sell by date.

why is it only daniel & the twins who are receiving all the bad press? They have been over exposed by them for the last few weeks now printing absolute rubbish.i know daniel & anyone who does knows he is an achiever and works hard.without a shadow of adoubt he has the best voice in the competition when he is on his game.Granted, the first part of his song last night wasnt the best but he picked it up and got there in the end. Has anyone else noticed how the judges treat simon's acts especially cheryl? jealous or what.sorry to say it takes more than the boy next door good looks to win a competition like this and unfortunately thats all she has.when she speaks abt daniel you can see clearly that she doesnt like him. she said something half decent abt him a few weeks ago and you could clearly see it was forced and false.dont particularly like miss cole anyone,she talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk. that was proven last week with her live verse only performance. realistically if any the good looking boys win they would just end up like shayne ward.they are nice lads but how many of the people who vote actually would buy there albums(john & edward)for example? personally i prefer rock music.would like jamie or daniel to win

Well, reading all of these comments which are probably 50:50 towards Danyl. It's not about his sexuality - this is about someone having the X-Factor. Does Danyl have it, or not? No, I don't believe he does. Arguably, NOT the best singer in the competition - I believe Olly is better, a more versatile voice, and likable. Danyl just isn't likable; there is something there which is definitely false. Last night's performance - out of tune, and he deserved an Oscar for his "acting" skills - demure, almost to the point of "I'm a broken man" look about him - don't be fooled - these are all cleverly constructed tactics to make the public "feel" for him.

Will Young 'came out' after winning his show - Olly is another Will - he will do absolutely brilliantly. My bet is on Olly and Lucie being in the final two, with Stacey as the third runner-up. Out this week? Either Rachel or 'Afro' - neither were particularly good. Lloyd was dreadful - that monotone speaking voice, translates into his singing voice - come on kiddo, get a bit of intonation in your voice, or you may find, your kiddy looks won't take you much further!

I think with all his acting skills last night he will be booted off. The `feel sorry for me´ face doesn´t wash with the public. You have to fight for your place and that is why it is a competition. If you don´t like critisism you shouldn´t go on x factor. People who don´t like to be told anything normally fail. As for Cheryl she is becoming bigger than the show and I think a bit too confident now. Simon´s fault of course as he treats her like a princess but completely ignores Danni.

It doesn't matter what his sexual orientation is, this is not the issue here. The fact of the matter is that this guy is just plain arrogant and thinks he is already a star before he has even won the competition. He needs to take his head out of his backside. I for one did not buy his performance last night, the little boy lost routine really didn't wash with people and I was in the audience. The real star of the show is Olly Murs, he is like the Will Young of the X Factor and he will be a big star in this country.

I couldn't care less what his sexuality is but I just don't like his voice and he comes over to me as insincere and fake. His performance this week was terrible and although I don't think he deserved to be in the bottom 2 last week, I think he and Lloyd were both hopelessly out of tune and were easily the worst 2 this week.

A person's sexuality or sexual identity isn't necessarily fixed for life. It's perfectly possible that Danyl used to be gay, or at least have thought he was gay, and then he later came to the realization that he is bisexual. Or is now bisexual.

His mother did an interview and was talking about when he came out to her and she said "I never wondered why he didn't have a girlfriend" buuut if he was bi surely you wouldn't have had to wonder. A slip of the tongue there hmmm?! Also his friend said he thought Danyl would end up with a guy.

I don't like Danyl Johson and I think he is a VERY average singer at best - when people label him as one of the best singers in the comp at present - they're basically calling Stacey, Rachel, Lucy/Lucie and Joe crap - ridiculous - with that being said all these stories about him creeping up whether true or not are expected - going into something like the X-Factor should make it pretty obvious to anyone!
