George Michael to appear on X Factor

Pop superstar could make shock appearance in final show

POP legend George Michael will make a sensational comeback on X Factor, we can reveal.

The superstar, above, is in secret talks with show bosses about a shock appearance on December's final, expected to be watched by 20 MILLION people.

An insider told the News of the World: "This is a cloak-and-dagger operation. Everything surrounding George's appearance is shrouded in secrecy.

"We're all very excited because nobody saw it coming. It's a real coup.

"And this will be a huge way for him to return to the music scene."

Former Wham! star George, whose hits include I Want Your Sex, was one of the world's biggest music stars in the 80s and 90s. But his career has stalled in recent years - and controversy has dogged his personal life.

His last studio album was Patience is 2004.

X Factor has signed up Beyonce, Pink and Shakira for performances, and is currently in negotiations with Queen of Pop Madonna.

George is one of the nicest people in show biz - he can not only sing but has a uniquely gifted talent for writing - its easier to sing than to write as you
hae to have the ideas in the first place. I love him to bits - he will always be up there with the greats - as for his private life, well everyone has to have a hobby - good on you George, you rock!

George Michael is the best singer/songwriter the UK has produced in many years and is up there with the greats. Let him live his life the way he wants without judging him and dont take genius and god given talent for granted.

At last X Factor Producers are considering having someone on the show that truly is a world class artist. I hope the contestants have an opportunity to do a masterclass with George Michael, and understand the craft of singing. A duet with Lucie would be great, perhaps he could be a mentor in the future.

George Michael is without doubt the best solo performer this country has ever produced! I wonder why people dont remember his sell out tour.....i was there and can say without question that he will NEVER be a has been!!

So he's a has been?
Lets see. 2006 sold arena tour of UK, Ireland, Scotland & Wales.
2007, sold our stadium tour of UK.
2008 sold out tour of America and Canada plus shows at Earls Court and Demark.
And now rumours of an Australian tour.
oh yes. he's definitely a has been isn't he???

George Michael is a legend.....he hasn't been anywhere to need a comeback. He is an amazing singer/songwriter. People put him down because he does not apologise for his personal life. I saw him 4 times on his 25live tour and would see him a hundred times more. George does not need to perform on xfactor to 'boost' his career, he is a true performer.

Well he did sing live on the American idol FINALE last year so i dont think hes a has been. 25LIve tour sold out across the world over the last three years STADIUMS and arenas.

Dont know if Xfactor is big enough for George Michael. Name any other uk solo artist who has had 5 U.S number 1's from the same album

I love how people class George Michael as a "has been" just because he isn't one of those idiots who would give their soul for an iota of fame and attention like Ronan Keating. He's just completed a sell out world tour - and one of the best in my opinion - and I guarantee you, that man's next record WILL be a hit. If he does the x factor - which i doubt he will unless he feels he desperately needs to promote his Live DVD (i think it'll sell very well on its own) then he'll show all the talentless dopes how it's done.
