Danyll cockY??? Mmmmmmmmm I hope so and in a big way....... You have to be cocky and forward to win at things and make it big in show business as well as other professions in the public eye. No one likes a wimp.

Kandy Rain? Don't make me laugh - all these wannabee girls in their slutty Matalan outfits and their pouting strutting around like they were the very worst of a BEyonce or a Shakira. People like this with their dumb, stupid names and zero charisma deserve to be booted off. We don't want anymore of these warbling, harmony destroying, trampy, bad influence, voice shrieky warbling ghetto turnips.

The show is biased towards black women and prejudicial to whites or guys. It should be reported to the Equality Commission.

I think Kandy Rain were unfairly treated, as Simon said, Cole and Minogue are not averse to stripping off at any opportunity. - so what if they're "established" artists? What difference does that make? And Kandy Rain's outfits weren't THAT provocative - no more so than Girls Aloud, Spice Girls or any other recent girl group.

While I think Danni's comment was a bit out of order, she didn't exactly OUT him, did she? He did THAT all by himself! The guy has a good voice but he IS too cocky - and arrogant with it! I don't like him - can't stand that bug-eyed stare of his. With regards to Kandi Rain - Cheryl and Danni were spot on - they DID look like hookers with the gear they NEARLY had on. And yes, C & D may have appeared half-naked in some of their concerts, etc but they were ESTABLISHED artists and NOT trying to rid themselves of previous image. If KR want to be treated seriously and not as pole/lap dancers, then they shouldn't dress like them. Nobody expects them to look like nuns, but c'mon!!!!!!

I thought X Factor was a talent contest...nothing to do with sexualorientation, which has nothingt o do with anyone except the individual concerned. As for the judges, last night reached an all time low in my opinion, Louis & Danni have obvioulsy realised that the strongest people are in Simons and Cheryls groups and are using any & every dirty & underhand trick to 'score' points.....as far as I am concerned, the only points they scored were own goals.....Husterical to hear Louis talking about the likeability factor when he is so lacking in it .... and as for Danni talking about sexuality, well glass houses and stones springs to mind......

According to the press Danyl has been bullying
the Kandy Rain girls telling them they stand no chance of winning. This may be true but it's a horrible trait in a man - so arrogant - he thinks he's won already.(I hope not!) I think Louis, Danni and Cheryl were all simply trying to bring him down a peg or two - he deserved it!

i usually love watching the x factor but last nights performance from the judges was disgraceful, some of thier comments were just nasty and uncalled for, i was a huge fan of danni but her comment to danyl about his sexuality was unnessary and rude! louis' comments last night were really spiteful, danyl is not the bully louis is!!

I am astounded by all the ridiculous spiteful and completely unnecessary coments that the judges are coming out with this year. The show is supposed to be about the talent of ordinary members of the public, instead it seems that is all about the judges and which one can win by completely destroying the reputations of the contestants! Do they really think that the british public are so stupid and fickle that we would vote off someone who is clearly talented purely because of the cruel coments made. Give us some credit!!!!

I think Ms Minogue may have just lost her mainly gay fan base with her thoughtless comments, just like Donna Summers took a total crash when she upset hers. A public apology would not go amiss here, to make issue about someones sexuality these days is petty, pointless, and totally inappropriate on X-Factor, unless she was thinking it would give him the 'Will Young Effect'. Button up and stick to criticising the music Danni,after all, criticising others music is ALL you have (seeing as she relies on a million songwriters and hyper-studio vocal production techniques just to force out bland mediocre music!).

Reading between the lines it seems that all of the judges, apart from Simon, have a problem with Danyl and his bigheaded-ness, based on last night's comments. He certainly loves himself!! Maybe he is this year's Steve Brookstein. The man that everybody loves to loathe. He was wrong to upset Kandi Rain. As for his sexuality.....who cares anyway!!

He is very cocky and quite annoying but I do feel sorry for him. My husband and I both feel that Danni should at least make a puplic apology to Danyl Johnson for her disgusting remarks.Also Simon should remind her who pays her wages,,,better still give her the sack.Danni is only on the show because her sister Kylie is a lot more famous than Danni will ever be.Louis and Cheryl are just as bad,and they are only jealous that their acts are not as good as Simon's.
Danyl is very talented as are the other two lads,Ollie and Jamie.We wish every one luck in the show....god knows if this sought of behavier does carry on,they will need a lot of luck just to get on stage,in the following week.

Then when Lucy sang footprints in the sand he said" you never hit the high notes that Leona does". I love Leona and that track, that is Leona's style(hiting high notes, like Maria Carriey) so why did he want her to sing it like Leona??? Think the show is very political now! Judges just trying to crush their confedance so their acts can get more votes. You have a good show this year dont ruin it by arguing amongst yourselves.

I think all four X-Factor judges are contradictory, one minute they are telling the contestants they have too little confident and when they try to show some of that confident as in the case of Danyl Johnson he gets this so called confidence that he supposedly needs to progress in the show gets knock!! Make up your minds judges if you haven't got anything to say nod and smile. I think if the show continues the way it's going i won't be watching it anymore because it's all about the judges at the moment and not the contestant who's lives they are messing with!

Have to stand up for Dannii as she was actually very positive about Danyl. The reaction from the crowd and Simon made her comment sound much worse than I am sure it was intended and it was in no way homophobic. If that is homophobic does that mean we are all supposed to not talk about sexuality and shove it back in the closet - i think not. He has already sold his story so can't expect to not adress it on the show - surely it would have been a much more positive message if he hadn't changed the message.
Danyl is good but I think last night showed this as one of the strongest years ever and I disagree he was the best last night - apart from the powerful final note I think he is capable of much better.
As for CandiRain the girls were right - the people who vote are in the main female so you don't put them off and dressing provocatively isn't going to resonate with the majority of women - shame on Louis for doing it to the girls.

I think what she was saying that it's a bit hypocritical to go to the trouble of changing the song if you're openly bisexual anyway. Maybe it was aimed more at Simon than Danyl. She wasn't being homophobic, and I suspect that Dannii has a lot of gay friends who she wouldn't dream of offending.

As for Kandy Rain, I have kids who watch the show and I don't want them thinking that it's OK for women to rely upon their sexuality or objectification to be a success. They looked like they were fit for a strip club or ready for some S&M for goodness sake, NOT appropriate for a family audience. Plus the blonde girl's comments in the papers have been really, really low rent. I think it's pathetic. I don't care how well they sing and I don't care if they tone it down from now on - it will all be a complete facade to turn attention away from the fact that they're obviously just cheap and nasty. For the record, I didn't care about the fact that they were strippers, but I think they've really let themselves down with the way they've been presenting themselves since. It's possible to look good and be sexy whilst leaving a little something to the imagination.

Everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that Danyl is a teacher. Many of the kids he teaches no doubt would have been watching and for them (the kids) to grasp that is ok to be gay is hard enough without them trying to understand bisexualism. Isn't Danni bisexual? I'm certain she didn't say it to be malicious she was just being plain stupid - if she wanted to give him encouragement to come out as a bisexual man she could have done it in private. I think it was meant as bisexual solidarity but it was just horrendously misjudged.

Dannii's remark about changing the 'gender specifics' was not intentionally homophobic -just highly personal and inappropriate! It would have been a good thing, a progressive thing, if a gay man or woman sang a love song to a member of the same sex. Why not indeed? The problem is, Danyl is bi-sexual so why shouldn't he sing it to whichever? It ultimately shoudn't have even been an issue! Someone earler mentioned how Rikki sang an Amy song and didn't change anything -this wasn't commented on so I suppose in a subversive way, Dannii's comments were -unintentionally homophobic.

I've never seen him as cocky -just a little try too hard -BUT -he is amazingly talented! And the fact he tries too hard would suggest that he is NOT cocky! If he was supremely confident he wouldn't try so hard - he HAS to try hard, ha HAS to show versatility, if he wants this so badly.

As for the Kandy Rain thing -yeah they're not great but I do see them as great female role models. They've done what they have to do, they've exploited their sexuality knowing exactly what they're doing. Dannii and Cheryl both have done the same so let me just say that hypocrism doesn't sit well on them. The problem with the 'bullying' situation is that we've only heard their side of it -it's more than likely been an argument, a clash of personalities and they've been savvy enough to get in first and paint Danyl the bad guy. He is a MAJOR competitor after all. Bullying is a very serious accusation -especially towards a school teacher, these people know where to hit that's all.

And as for 'you haven't won yet'. PLEASE! Of course he hasn't -eh...no one has! Maybe John and Edward will win (LOL -well -maybe they will!!) Simon was bang on the money when he said 'no game playing with this guy'. Because that's all it is - a game of 'let's intimdate the major threat'.

But Danni's comment on Danyl was totally out of order Louis and Cherryl really lost the plot with there comments too, if only they realise what they said about Danyl will only make viewers more adamant to put Danyl through. He was brill!!!!!!!! But we the public sit and watch this so let's hope there is a few public appologies in tonights show and let's get on with matter's in mind !!!!!!!!! If Danyl is as driven as he acts, then he will hear a lot worse in the future, espescially since it was the truth after all. I think Danni did not mean to offend anybody by what she said last night, I personally think she was trying to say you should be proud of what you are and as he is bi-sexual thre was no need to change the gender reference in the song!!
As for Cheryl Cole i think she is brilliant her comments were so true last night i completely agree with her about kandy-rain they are good but they did not need to dress the way they did espically as they are trying to tone themselves down to a cleaner image!!!

With regards to Danniis comment I honestly believe she said that to Danyl trying to be positive.I agree it should be about his voice not his private life but before he sang it Louis and Cheryl were saying its a girls song for a man and she was meaning that he can still sing it with feelings towards a man, unfortunately it didnt come across well just akward but she does so much for the gay and lesbian society, give the girl a break it was not meant as a negative or low blow and i reckon if he had sang a different song it wouldn't even have been mentioned.

The shows seems to have become more about the judges winning as it appears this attack stems from the fact Simon criticised everyone barr his own acts...but at least he said positive things also....They destroyed that boy up there with their comments....not one positive thing was said...Hypocrites if you ask me, as they have mentioned so many times about a lack of belief or confidence then shoot it down....however, the boy is not being cocky, so that bit i dont get anyway

It's just a TV show! It's produced to cause a reaction and promote itself in the press. Controversy improves ratings. Are the judges good, bad etc, are the contestants treated fairly or unfairly, who cares, it's just all produced to get people talking! And up ratings

To me this is starting to sound like sour grapes to me by the other judges or louis is trying to backtrack on his earlier comments on his catagory. It seems like everyone is trying to have a pop at one of the strongest contestants. What with dannis comments on last nights show too. So what they had a row dont try and save face by trying to pass the negative press onto someone else. Louis your a sad little man. I hope that the judges start to grow up soon or people are going to start getting sick of all the pantomime that goes with this show.

Think Louis, when the groups were in your home you told Ronan that the girls would not vote for Kandy Rain because of their past, now you are saying they are great etc. Ermm...

The girls sang okay, but as Danni rightly said it was them that said they wanted the pole dancing episode put behind them and what do they do, come out dressed like a bunch of poledancers. The blonde ones top half was transparent. Tone it down girls if you want to be taken seriously.

Talking of Danni, well out of order your comments to Dannyl. No need for jibes like that just to make your acts look good, should have been reprimanded for that.

Jamie Afro is held and shoulders above the rest, but Joe did really good too.

daniel and jamie have the best vocals and star quality by a mile.lets be honest louis doesnt really stand a chance of winning.miss frank are alright but if we are honest we know they wont win.If Daniel did say this comment he maybe shoudnt have.But then again some of us are thinking this. I think it is abt time the got rid of the boy and girl nextdoor look and let the people who have got character and real substance get through.these 2 for the final!

I thought Stacey, Joe, and danyl were brilliant. I was absolutely disgusted by Danni's comment (like her up to now)- if she had made that kind of work in the work place she would have been fired and the indidual would have won an employment tribunal claim on the grounds of sexuality. I think for the comment she madetaken to an employment tribunal. I think they should remove her from x factor

I use to love x factor, but last nights show was not good viewing, there was a bad atmosphere and vibes from all the judges. Simon was probably the best with his comments. Danni I thought had got it right this year and was passing constructive comments. but what was that at the end, she ruined the show and was totally uncalled for. thats BULLYING she got way to personal. So what, what danyl does in his private life. People shouldn't throw stones in glass houses.
lets hope they ALL are in a better moad tonight and an appology to ALL the public who watch & support Xfactor is needed. as well as Danyl. poor kandy rain have to wear what they are told. tell Walsh. every year they do it put through a group they stay in for ever and do your head in. Most of these on there are very young, yeah constructive comments fair enough, Damm right rude, nasty, bitchyy. is NOT good viewing. they were ALL good to get up there in front of those four last night. week one give em a break.

Was shocked amd horrified at Danni's comments to Danyl. He gave a fantasic performance. The judge's bickering spoiled the show for me last night. Usually love Cheryl but she got on my nerves, I think she is getting too above herself . I love Jamie Afro and Stacie, think they will both be in the final.

Last night comments about Danyl were very hard to watch as were some about Kandy Rain, all be it with a certain amount of truth in there, but whats really sad is that this has taken the attention away from acts like Stacy and Joe who were fantastic last night. Why not give the coverage to those acts rather the politics of the show, it is suppose to be about talent after all xx

Danni should not have made any comment about Danyls sexualitly, it has nothing to do with his singing ability, which is fantastic! Louis has no chance, except maybe with Miss Frank, not because of anything else, just for the fact he hasn't chosen great this year.Simon had the strongest group from the offset,he had tough decisions to make with his final six, unlike Louis Simon chose exceptionally well! I don't think Danni should be sacked, just given a dressing down. If that had happened in any other work place, she wouldn't be sitting so comfortably.

Nobody needs tobe sacked or replaced or anything else. Last nights comments to Danyl were uncomfortable viewing, next week it will be forgotten. Personally I don't think Danyl has come across as cocky, if anything he just seems to want to try too hard because his first audition was so good, he just needs to take a step back and chill out with his performance. Simon definitely has the stringest category at the moment though. Miss Frank were excellent by the way, i hope Louis doesnt ruin them by just making one a lead vocal like he usually does.

A miss judged statement yes. She did not mean to offend. I think she was going on the basis that it would have meant something to gay people, She knows its a gay anthem. Also maybe she thought it would be a cool brave move to have sang it the origanal way.

To be quite honest, I feel the X Factor judges have run their course. Last nights display of pointless drivel from Danni and the ramblings of a talentless Cherly Cole, just go to endores the need for Simon Cowel to change things and quick.

Does it matter what Danyl's sexual preferences are...no of course not. So one has to ask the question, just what is going on here?

And why so much venom from Loius Walsh? A guy that is quite plainly had enough of the show, that was evident by putting the twins through to the live finals. Come on Loius, the whole nation knews they were crap, so again, what is going on here?

I'm afraid this is purely gamesmanship from Mr Walsh, its the usual sort of thing. He throws a hissy fit every year.

I've never been that sure at to Danyl as a vocalist - I didn't get the fuss about his first audition (as good as it was), but his vocals and performance (yes, throwing a microphone down is not arrogant, but part of the whole performance of the song) were amazing. Vocally he was certainly top of the tree. I don't think he's arrogant at all, he's just confident. I'd personally rather have someone who is confident in their abilities and accept that rather than make them project some kind of false modesty to win a talent show.

That 3 of the judges focused on something other than the vocals should speak volumes. How do you criticise a vocal so good ? You can't so attack the person. I understand they have wanted to interview him on Good Morning America after that first audition and Simon clearly has his eye on opportunities for Danyl in the US.

Dannii Minogues comments were cheap and lacked any sort of class. They have nothing to do with the performance whatsoever. It's actually sort of outrageous. I'd like to see her fired and deported.

I was mortified by Danni's comments. This is 2009 and there is no longer a place in society for this type of uncouth reference to a persons sexuality.
It was just so TOTALLY NOT NECESSARY. Other shows have been slated for much less. Until this point I had always held Danni in some esteem but she's totally bombed it in my estimation now.
To be honest I think the whole show is manipulated by the judges anyhow. We only see Danyl for 5 minutes and I don't see him as being ultra cocky just a great preformer, but the judges continually make barbed references to his overconfidence etc and give us much more information than we need to know. If the british public were allowed to vote on talent alone then Danyl would be the winner.
In retrospect he'll probably win now anyhow as he'll get sympathy votes too as well. To be honest, I've found Cheryl a bit irritating this year too. Loved her last year, but this year she's jumped on her soapbox a bit, especially with regards to her very vocal comments about Kandy Rain.

Stacey was fantastic on the first show! Such a hard song to sing, she made it her own and i'd buy that version right now, well done sweetheart. As fr Danni's comments, bang out of order, i'd have fired her on the spot. Can't believe the attacks on Danyl's performance, he gets rave reviews fr a first audition that would not have been out of place in the final, doesn't dissapoint the viewers with his ability to live up t the same standard and gets pulled down by the judges for being over confident. He's not being over cnfident, he is just mking the most of his opportunity and showing what he is capable of, which is to perform to a really high standard, well done Danyl, keep your chin up mate.
Final 3 prediction - Stacy, Danyl and Joe, sorry Louis - better luck next year!

I think Cheryl is a FANTASTIC judge, she just has this instinct and she always gets it right. However, I was actually cringing when Dannii made that comment about Danyl's sexuality, WHY? What difference does it make? I wasn't a fan of Danyl to be honest, but hats off to him, he was CLEARLY streets ahead of the others last night. I also love Stacey, but boy is she dippy when she speaks, some interview techniques needed there love!
