Alex dedicates victory to ill mother

X FACTOR winner Alexandra Burke has revealed she wants to date American rapper Chris Brown - but only after she's established herself as a chart success.
The singer confessed her love for the R&B star as she received almost 60 per cent of the eight million votes, with almost million votes separating her and runners-up JSL.
But mentor Cheryl said: "Alex is going to be too busy for boys, but they will come. I'll only allow it Chris Brown comes knocking, of course."
The emotional 20-year-old from North London dedicated the victory to her ill mother who braved a journey from hospital to see her daughter in the final.
Speaking to the News of the World, she said: "I got quite scared when I found out her dialysis was this morning because I thought it was last night.
"I called her expecting her to be in bed, but she was still at the hospital telling me she was going to make it down to the studio to see my big night.
"I said to her that she can't come because I knew what could happen, but she told me that she would make the final and she did which has made me the happiest girl in the world.
"Sometimes I don't think she understands how much I need my mama."
Cheryl revealed that after Alexandra won she performed a victory dance in front of fellow judge Simon Cowell, but a saucy slip of the tongue left the Girls Aloud star red-faced.
Cheryl said: "I did a victory dance around his bedroom, I mean dressing room."
Despite winning the final an X Factor source revealed Eoghan Quigg won the most of the live shows, six, with Alex taking two and Diana Vickers and JSL taking one each.
Alexandra added she is now looking forward to performing on the Top of the Pops Christmas Special with Girls Aloud and singing with Elton John at the 02 on New Years Eve.
"I owe everything to my family and I am ready to live my dream," she said.

Fact 1: Leona is streets ahead of Alex.
Fact 2: Alex was very OTT and over emotional - all this was a ploy to get the publics sympathy
Fact 3: Alex is not as classy as Leona
Fact 4: The judges wanted Alex to win as soon as Diana was voted off
Fact 5: The judges handed her the win when they chose to duet her with Beyonce and gave the others Westlife and Boyzone. I mean how can 8 -10 people all sing the same song credibly.
Fact 6: She has an OK voice but is not unqique in anyway like Leona Lewis. There are other better UK singers in her mould such as Jameilia and Estelle.
Fact 7. Two of the judges dont know anything about music. Danni who and Cole. Cole's performance on the show with her group was rubbish- watch it on you tube she trys to sing a deep solo note halfway through the song its a car crash moment.
Final Fact. Austin was the best singer, Diana most unique and only one of the lads in JLS can sing.

I seriously think JSL should have won this, they were 1000% better, Alexandra is a drama queen and has done nothing but crave attention. On the final the crying was so fake i was laughing, she will never be as good as beyonce or Leona so et's face it, looks like we have another faliure ahead. I am convinced that the x factor is just a fix and the peoples votes do not count!

i am a cockney and take great offence at anyone who knocks them, they are true brits, are you ? They are the salt of the earth. What you see is what you get. Ray Winstone, Barbara Windsor and many more international stars are cockneys and millionaires !!!! Alex comes from NORTH LONDON so she isn't a cockney.

Alex has a amazing voice, she did deserve to win, although to be truthful, Simon wanted her to win, he made comments through the show and every so often looked at the camera in amazement at her voice, suggestive thinking. JLS are also a good band and i think they will be making a recording soon, although i feel Aston will eventually go solo. The whole x factor was good this year and although at times i cried, i feel Alex played to the cameras by crying, yet in her interview she seemed a bit cocky. Be nice to see a star rise with dignity passion and love and when they reach there millions, to remember the life they left and donate time and effort to charities. Good luck Alex, stay kind x

In the beginning I loved Alex and wanted her to win but as the weeks went on and it became more and more obvious that she was the most talented her attempts at being "humble" became too embarrassing and cringy to bear. The constant crying and "I don't think I'm good enough" put me right off her and her condescending attitude to Leona in her video "from where she's come from" (newsflash Alex, Leona has always been proud of being from Hackney and has never seen it as a disadvantage) has really made me dislike her and think she is pure fake. Also, when I was younger I shared a bed with my sister and my brothers also had to share a bed, does this mean I somehow had a really terribly impoverished background?

I think Alexandras' scrubbed up well, she looks great now. Her mum sang with soul2soul didnt she? Must be where she gets the urge to sing. I loved the Candyman song but apart from that shes average. Too much drama and 'big songs'. BUT "thankyou SO much" sob sob, for the last few weeks to all of them, great entertainment..
Preferred the classy slick (and fit) JLS and will watch them with interest

i reckon alex would have won had she been in Danni/Louis or Simon's group, because she already has amazing talent. cheryl had the easiest group by far, and she messed up with Laura and didnt do so well with Diana. whereas Danni had the weakest group and did pretty well with her acts.

The final was so grossly biased in favour of Alexandra that it was ludicrous. Treating the other two acts as if they had already lost the show was very disrespectful. As for Cheryl, she has been so annoying this whole series with her empty fakey fake comments and constant crocodile tears.

Rough cockney accent?!! OMG!! Where are you guys from? Alex duet with Beyonce was world class and she has proven tat she deserves hr place up there with the best. If you want to duet with world class stars you need to possess world class talent. The celebrity choices and pairings was quite apt in my opinion. Thats why Eoghan had Boyyzooone!! Alex will have a good career. Alex, Ruth and JLS have kept me entertained all season. I have tuned into the show mainly to see Alex the superstar and I can't wait to see her in concert. She has silenced all you haters. The onl reason Leona has been given the opportunties she has is because Gary Barlow embarrassed Simon into doing things properly.

What utter nonsense to try to compare Alex to Leona Lewis. Why do idiots do that? Alex hasn't been picked up by a US label so her chances of worldwide success are about the same as Leon Jackson and the other two blokes that won.
She's a good singer, but lets see what she's doing in 2 years time. Lets see how many records she sells, how many awards she gets and how many Grammy nominations she picks up.
Fact is Leona was a one off. America has hundreds of girl singers like Alex. She performed with one of them last night called Beyonce. Beyonce looked world class, Alex didn't.

I like Alex but did think it was unfair that she had a world famous singer such as Beyonce and the others got Boyzone and Westlife!! I mean not exactly on the same scale!!! They should have got Justin Timberlake,Rihanna etc if they were going to go worldclass, so that it was fair. Simon calls the shots and he wanted Alex to win! Despite all the scandal associated with Alex, Sheryl has proved she is a better mentor than Simon, Louis and the other woman. Maybe it is time for the latter 3 to retire from music as Sheryl has demonstrated that without any previous mentoring experience (plus a relatively short musical history), she is the best!!

Alex looks fantastic until she opens her mouth and spouts out that rough cockney, rubbish. Cockney is ok for Eastenders, but in an international star who is meant to have the image of a sexy siren. Leona may have the southern accent but she has a little fragile, feminine voice so she gets away with it, but when Alex talks she looks and sounds like a bloke, she needs a bit of finishing school to knock the rough edges off her accent and the way she holds herself, then she'll look like the sexy pop star.
