No 'Carry On' says Babs
She bans Enders sex
CARRY ON legend Barbara Windsor has put her foot down and refused to allow BBC bosses to SEX UP her scenes in EastEnders.
The soap's producers and script executives wanted the older residents of Walford to get frisky. So they included scenes with Peggy Mitchell and new hubby Archie in the BEDROOM.
But their plots have been scuppered by Babs, who turns 72 on Thursday, and plays the Queen Vic's matriarch.
She complained that the scenes would be a real TURN-OFF for viewers and got them cut out.
Babs said: "Viewers don't want to see a woman my age kissing and being intimate.
Saucy
"They only want to see young people they fancy like Stacey (Lacey Turner), God bless her - not me. So I have all that cut."
Babs, who has been in the soap for 15 years, said Enders bosses keep trying to slip in saucy moments.
But she refuses to allow any inappropriate activity between Peggy and Archie - played by Larry Lamb.
The star said: "Larry and I saw a couple of things in the script and we looked at each other and said, 'Are you kidding? In the bedroom? No thank you!' So we had that taken out.
"People know we're in our late sixties - I mean I'm not, I'm in my seventies - and they don't want to see that." Former sexpot Babs - famous for her legendary bra-popping scene in Carry On Camping - claims she is a rotten kisser anyway and too bashful for sex scenes.
She confessed: "I was never any good at love scenes you know. I was always lousy. If there was a kissing scene in the Carry On films I would do anything to get out of it. I'm actually quite shy."

Yeah I agree she does look good for 72. She's right about stopping the cast writers from trying to spice up her charater with sex scenes it's a question of morals here, There is far too much sex in soaps these days and it makes them trashy and pointless.

She looks fabulous but why on earth are the writers getting Peggy and Archie back together?!?!
How have they all suddenly forgotten that he was responsible for Danielle's death, that he outed Jack as the father of Amy and manipulated Peggy into an subservient little thing?!
I suppose it the same fairy dust they used on Janine who ran over Danielle and killed her but wasn't so much as questioned by the police!
