I've had my Phil

BOOZY mechanic Phil Mitchell gets himself well-oiled . . . and ends up in hospital as a result.

Worried mum Peggy (Barbara Windsor) rushes to her son's bedside after Phil (Steve McFadden) gets drunk and knocks himself out.

The drama begins when the hard-drinking hardman has too much and humiliates Peggy in front of everyone in the Queen Vic.

Then he storms upstairs with another bottle to pour down his neck - and moments later comes crashing back down, bashing his head on the way. But worse is to come for poor Peggy. When Phil comes round in the hospital bed, they have a heart-to-heart about why he's been boozing heavily again.

Peggy expects any number of answers - but is shocked when nasty Phil blames HER for his return to drinking.

An EastEnders insider revealed: "Phil hits the bottle after everything that has happened with his family this year.

"But Peggy is stunned - and hurt - when he blames her."
