NELL
now adorns the nose of a 31 Squadron Tornado GR4
on active service over Iraq.
She has already flown sorties over
Baghdad.
The
paint job was approved by Wing Commader Paddy
Teakle, 42, as a morale booster after losing two
men in friendly fire.
Wingco Teakle is pictured above,

Proud Nell said last night: "What
a wonderful thing to do."

Nell sends knickers
to nobble Saddam
Shock and phwoarr
EXCLUSIVE
by
Jules Stenson
THE Desert Rats are rolling towards victory in Iraq
equipped with the ultimate secret weapon...Nell McAndrew's
pink knickers.
The News of the World's
Official Forces' Sweetheart sent her smalls to the Gulf
after receiving a desperate plea from the desert.
It came from Captain Richard
Oldfield of the 7th Armoured Brigade, who wrote to Nell
with a tricky problem.
His Desert Rats, the heroes
who saw off Rommel, had a challenge to test the best.
"My boss has promised a case of champagne for anyone
able to acquire a pair of celebrity pants," he wrote.
"So I'm leaning on your gameness
for a laugh, charitable nature and no small amount of
British patriotism for a pair of your (very freshly
laundered) pants with some form of corroborative evidence
of ownership."
The captain added helpfully: "They're for trophy value
only, please understand, rather than as a functional
piece of underwear."
Fun-loving Nell, 29, immediately
sent off a pink pair of knickers she wore for a recent
magazine shoot.
She laughed: "I included a picture
of me wearing them as proof of ownership, too! I'm delighted
to help Captain Oldfield win his bet."
Capt Oldfield also mentioned
that his force may not have brought enough smalls for
their own stay in the war zone. So Nell came to the
rescue again.
"I went out and bought lots
of Calvin Klein and Jasper Conran boxers to send to
the lads," she added. "Plus some knickers for the girls
serving with our Forces."
