I can reveal that AMY WINEHOUSE is hooked on a new way of taking cocaine- mixing it with candyfloss.

The drug-addled singer, 25, was introduced to the concoction as a joke by her junkie pal - Babyshambles guitarist MIK WHITNALL - after she bought a £700 candyfloss machine.

Apparently, she thought it was hilarious and has made the 'coke 'n candy special' a party piece at her house.

A pal said: "It was Mik's idea. The candyfloss machine was Amy's pride and joy and he thought it would be funny to give it a boost.

"He and some pals sprinkled a wrap of coke into the mixture and Amy started eating it before she realised what they'd done. She now thinks it's a hoot to do the same."

Amy - who dated crack addict Mik, 38, after her hubby BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL was jailed - has seen her face and body ravaged by Class A drugs in the past year.

My source said: "With her painfully thin frame and her wild beehive hair, she's actually starting to look like a stick of candy floss herself.

Sensatialism is what's killing superstars, like Amy, by way of negativity. Were the media to concentrate their efforts on helping those that fall by the wayside in positive and pro-active ways, we could all enjoy Amy Winehouse's music to far greater extent. More so ever by the singer herself. Seeing those recent pictures and unfortunate articles in the news is enough to turn worsen the malady... when will it ever end ? I'd love to hear her sing again, with a clear head though !!!

I love Amy. Everyone needs a little excitement in their lives, it's just a shame that she gets excitement out of taking so much drugs. if she wants to take charlie with candy floss, let her get on with it. the novelty will wear out soon enough. I love you Amy, get writing some more fantastic tunes!!!!xx

From what I understand about Britney Spears, she was raised in a Baptist home in Louisiana so her father brought in her pastor and councillors from her church to snap her back into the real world. So far it seems to be working. But this sort of intervention does not seem to be an option for our Amy. Amy Winehouse is maybe the only celebrity I really care about, and when she goes I'll certainly be hurting for awhile.

I think that Amy's family should speak to Britney Spears's family about what to do here before this girl dies and Amy's family will have to live with regret and guilt about what should have been done. Only a real serious and extremely long term intervention will help this girl. She also needs for her family to be very very close to her. Amy is extremely slick and smooth. Because of this, she is like a little fox and her rehabilitation is extremely diificult.

With all thats going on in the world at the moment
do we really care what Amy Winehouse is doing???
I traveled all the way to Liverpool to see her last year and she didn't turn up, she was far too busy drinking etc etc with her pals instead.

I always believed that she (Amy Winehouse) is an unbelievably talented individual, however, she needs some real help to get her out of this hell that she has succumbed to....if she could only feel the well being as she wakes in the mornings, the warm sun or the fresh snow.....she would feel alive and the joy from within would give her a high,,so much more than any of those physically and mentally ravaging concoctions that she now consumes.....
