Batman sequel scrapped

HOLY unfinished trilogy-I can reveal that the sequel to this summer's blockbuster Batman movie The Dark Knight may NEVER be made.

Why? Because director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN doesn't think he can do it without HEATH LEDGER. After Ledger's death this year, AARON ECKHART looked like being the new villain. But he's let slip Nolan's having second thoughts.

Eckhart said: "Chris hasn't said he's going to make a third film. I think he wants to make other movies."
