I'VE edited this column for EIGHT years, three months and survived-JUST!

My liver was the first to sigh a relief after I decided to step down from the best job in the world.

Where else could I fly first class, party with the SPICE GIRLS, DAVID BECKHAM and of course SIMON COWELL.

I've broken a hell of a lot of stories (if I say so myself) including Beckham's marriage crisis to just weeks ago where I revealed MADGE and GUY RITCHIE'S 18-month sex drought.

I remember the day FATBOY SLIM rang me and told me about his split with his wife Zoe Ball.

Then there were the parties.

Dancing with Paris Hilton at Nobu, Posh and I throwing some shapes at Home in Leicester Square.

Being allowed to stay in the VIP area as Prince and entourage cleared everyone out.

Being with Britney in Munich during her European Tour and her spilling the beans on Justin Timberlake in between shots.

Drinking with Mike Tyson, Lionel Richie and Lisa Kudrow at Ago in LA. Getting so smashed with Chris Evans that he booked me a room at The Groucho Club.

Partying with Robbie Williams at Cafe De Paris. I still can't remember how I got home.

Dragging Kelly Osbourne and Louis Walsh to Stringfellows and paying for dances. Oops.

There's so many more, I could write a book!

So as a farewell, here's a round up of my best pictures from the last eight years as well as a few good wishes from the celebs.

Thank you ALL for being loyal readers and thanks to my girlfriend Marion and the boys Spencer, Stanley and Bertie for putting up with the hangovers and late nights.
