Holding his hands in theirs, willing him to come alive. Whispering prayers for him as tears rolled down their cheeks.

In a poignant interview, the star's closest sister La Toya reveals how she led Paris, 12, Prince Michael, 11, and seven-year-old Blanket to Michael's side to say goodbye to him just after he died.
READ: I WILL NAIL MICHAEL'S KILLERS
"It was Paris who said she wanted to see her daddy 'one last time'," says La Toya. "So I took them into the room. There was a towel over his face. I lifted it and Paris said, 'Oh Daddy, I love you'.
"We hugged, and I kissed him on the forehead and the children lifted up his hands. He just didn't look like he was gone. His eyes were half open, it was as if he was resting.
"The kids had been screaming - but once they were in that room and saw Michael they stopped and became calm."
Today, telling the children's story for the first time, La Toya also movingly reveals how:
Singer La Toya began by reliving her terror as she heard the news of her brother's death - and how she had an eerie PREMONITION of it.

"I was at my home just three minutes from Michael's and was talking to a friend about the fact that Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMann off the Johnny Carson show had just died.
"I said, 'There's going to be another one because they always go in threes'. About an hour and a half later my father called to say Michael had been rushed to hospital.
"I jumped into my car and kept calling my mother's assistant asking 'How is he?' But he wouldn't say.
"Finally, I heard Mother in the background yelling, 'Why don't you just tell her?'
"Then she grabbed the phone off him and screamed: 'HE'S DEAD!' I nearly crashed my car. My legs went weak."
When La Toya got there at first a nurse told her Michael was still alive.
"Suddenly I felt so good," she says. "Then I saw Mother with the kids on her lap who were all crying. They said, 'He's gone'. I fell to the ground and couldn't stop crying.
"But I caught hold of myself after about 20 minutes and realised I had to be strong for the children who were all screaming."
It was then that La Toya - with her brothers Randy and Jermaine and her nephew Austin - took the youngsters to see their father's body. "I asked them, 'What do you want to say to Daddy?' and they said private things to him," says La Toya.
"Paris was holding his hand. We were all sitting around the bed.
"His chest was very red from the attempts to revive him but he was wearing no make-up and looked fine. He was NOT bald as some reports have said. Everything looked fine.
"We all said prayers out loud over him. We did that quite a few times over half an hour. When we walked out that room the kids didn't cry. They were silent. They had closure." Since then, Paris has taken her father's death harder than her brothers. She wears Michael T-shirts every day and the walls of her room are covered with posters and pictures of her daddy.
"She still writes him letters - sweet lovely letters about how much she loves him," says La Toya, holding back tears. "Michael told us Paris always wrote notes for him."
One, written last week, says: "Daddy, I don't think I was doing very well today. I noticed that when I looked over at Blanket he looked a little sad.
" I wanted to know why he was sad but he wouldn't tell me. Do you think you can help me figure out why he was sad, because I want him to be as happy as I am and you are."
La Toya says: "Her letters are brilliant. When you read them you cry.
"I think she'll be an entertainer when she grows up. She is always singing her daddy's songs."
The boys, she says, are trying to cope. "Prince Michael is not breaking down like Paris. After he'd seen his father's body at the hospital, I saw him get stronger as we walked away down the corridor," says La Toya.
"He hasn't cried since that day. But I want him to cry. I've told him, 'It's OK to cry'.
"Blanket is adorable and is coping fine." La Toya reveals how Jackson's youngest son came from a donor egg and donated sperm.
She says: "Michael didn't want to know who the biological parents were. They took eggs from a donor and I believe the sperm came from one of five donors picked from a book. I don't know who carried the child and if the surrogate knew whose child she was carrying.
"Michael was proud of Blanket and of all of his children. They were his prime concern."
La Toya reveals how Paris paid a secret final farewell to Jackson's open casket at Forest Lawn Cemetery on the night before the glittering star-studded memorial service.
The boys didn't want to go and the only other people there were La Toya, her business partner Jeffre Phillips and brother Randy.
They watched in tears as Paris produced a cheap metallic split-heart mood pendant and started trying to tie it around her father's neck.
The pendants come in pairs. Friends or lovers each wear one half of the heart - which changes colour when it touches the skin - as a symbol of their devotion to each other.
Paris was wearing her half-heart at the memorial service. La Toya says: "Paris had bought the pendant as a farewell gift for her daddy. At first she tried to put it around his neck, but it didn't tie up, so she wrapped it around his arms.
"Then she connected her half heart and his together, said, 'Daddy this is for you', and pulled them apart again.
"She told me, 'I want one half to go to Daddy and I will wear the other half forever. On Daddy it will be blue because he is cold. On me it's purple'.
"She then pulled out a bag of children's play gemstones and put them on Michael's chest and around his body. It was very moving."
La Toya had made sure Jacko's farewell was as flamboyant as one of his stage appearances.
He was decked out in a cream- coloured, bugle-beaded and pearl- encrusted military jacket, a big gold belt with a buckle adorned by two angels and black trousers with sequins.
She also dropped a pair of the superstar's trademark gloves and sunglasses into the £25,000 casket.
"He looked like the regular Michael - he looked fabulous," she says. La Toya brushes aside questions about his nose and his obsession with plastic surgery. "He was teased about his nose as a child so he had it altered, that's all," she said. What La Toya is keen to talk about is how how Paris stunned the world by speaking at her dad's memorial service.
She says: "Either when Smokey Robinson or Stevie Wonder were performing Paris whispered to me, 'Auntie La Toya I wanna go up there and say something about Daddy'.
"I didn't want to disappoint her, so I said OK. I knew Paris would do something like that because we knew how much she loved her father. She showed the world how much he meant to her with that speech.
"All that week she had asked, 'Why did they take him away?', but what she said about Michael being the best daddy in the world was perfect."
La Toya explains why all the children turned up without the trademark masks her brother always insisted they wore. "They didn't wear masks at the funeral because we want them to live a normal life now," she says. "If we'd kept the masks on, people would have been hounding them. By taking the masks off we are hoping people will leave them alone to heal. We are hiring a special grief counsellor to help them deal with this."
She reveals how the children were so protected from the world around them they NEVER realised Jacko was a superstar. "You must remember these kids have never seen their father perform as Michael wasn't touring after they were born," says La Toya.
"Michael was waiting to surprise them in London. I recall them saying recently, 'Auntie La Toya - guess what? Our daddy is a superstar'.
"The children don't even watch mainstream TV. They watch Nickelodeon, which is monitored, or movies. Michael never allowed them to watch TV as there are so many disturbing things."
He also ensured that Paris and Prince Michael were kept well away from Debbie Rowe - the nurse he married to have them - and never knew that she was their mother.
"The children don't even know who she is," says La Toya. "They have met her but Michael never introduced her as their mother. HE was their mother, their father, their whole world."

Hi Michael, I hope where ever you are that you enjoy the rest that you need. we met once before in salthill, Galway, Ireland.
we all hope that you would return to us all some day if the news, tv, and so on would ever leave you and your family to enjoy life.
I taught Aikido and other arts, to children for seventeen years and stopped as I needed the rest. some day I hope to return to pass on my skills once again.
But for know I am going back to university to finish my degree as well as continuing from community health and care in order to better myself to work with the youth in a healthy and peaceful way
but I understand why you needed to leave us all....
so take care and be happy your friend Patrick

Everyone is so hard on Joe Jackson. People forget he had to be tough if his sons were to avoid being in gangs or in prison. Everyone forgets that Michael's early years was in segregated America and it was extremely difficult for non-white performers. Everyone forgets that Joe Jackson worked very hard to keep his family together when they were poor and lived in a 2 bedroom house in Gary. He made mistakes but show me a parent who has never made any with their children. I, for one believe he loved his son and without him we would not have had the disciplined performer that Michael was or worse still Michael would have stagnated at Motown. Don't believe everything you read in tabloids. The only people that knew the real Michael were members of his family. Be kind people and let them grieve. It must be especially hard for his parents especially his mother. Children are supposed to outlive their parents! RIP MJ. Let the tabloids find someone else to torment.

Well, I say that with great power comes great tribulations. Thats the thing people need to realize, people will always talk no matter what, weather it be good or bad. People will always have there own opinion about things. What really matters is the truth! Only two people know the truth about Michael, and that is him an GOD. Money IS the root of all evil, and what I am saying is that people will do anything for money no matter who gets hurt, no matter the pain and no matter the disaster after. All the lies about what he was doing to the children, money is what keep the accusers satisfied. Most of the evil and corrupt things that take place in this world has all to do with money, murders, lies, betrayal, kiddnaps, etc. So, the more money he made and the more famous he became the bigger the troubles, no matter how kind and sweet of a person you are, actually those are the ones who deals with it the most. Michael was a good hearted person, very caring, loving, humble, giving, and never ever looking at the color of a person's skin, rich or poor, sick or healthy. Far as his music goes, he has always sung from his heart and his music had soul, rock, pop and much more. He was very talented, and there will never be another like him! I love you Michael and you will always have a place in my heart, and I appreciate the love that you have shown people through the years and the wonderful messeges that you sent from all your music for so many years that has keep must of us strong. Believe it or not most of us can relate to your music thats why people all over the world loved you!! REST IN PEACE> LOVE YOU

I will never forget seeing Michael Jackson perform Thriller at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium in the 80's. I had a friend come all the way in from California to join me. I have never seen a better entertainer with pure class.
As far as Joe Jackson, the thought of him putting Michael's three children on tour is absurd! They need time for grieving/not performing for monetary benefits!!! You are sick Joe Jackson!

I have not cried for days. But reading this upsets me so much. I hope the Jacksons are not trying to put themselves into the spotlight by telling stories. to me, michael jackson meant so much, his music, his shows, his performances, his life. many of us might dislike joe jackson, but, michael jackson forgave him. in the end, without joe jackson there might not have been a michael jackson for us. michael jackson made so many of us so happy, with his death so many of us are so upset. but, michael jackson achieved what he wanted, people are getting together, no matter what colour, no matter how rich or poor. he was and still is the best, in many ways. i am thankful to have "grown up" with michael jackson. my 9 year old son said today, while i was listening to my favourite songs: that is michael jackson? he is great, can i take his cd´s to my room to listen to them?
i thought that it is amazing. Michael Jacksons music came to me, when i was a young teenager, now my son wants to listen to his music, YEARS later
Michael Jackson is, was and always will be the best, to us

" Love in the afternoon "
...It is so strange
The good die young
Thus seems to be
When I remember you
That just leaving
Too soon...
...Go with the angels! go in peace.
It was thus every day in the afternoon
The discovery of friendship
Until the next time...
...It is so strange
The good die before
I remember you
And for so many people that was
Too soon...
...I remember the afternoon we spent together
There is always more I know
You are right now
Only this year
The summer is over
Too soon...

If all the things that Latoya says is true, then my heart is breaking even more for the family. I cry every day for M.J. because the world has lost a great human being, but it is sad about all the accusations being made about him and his lifestyle especially since these people are being paid for interviews with some of them claiming to be very close to him, but you can tell from the double talking in interviews that they are liars and instead are on a smear campaign of this man so that they can protect themselves. Remember Sam Cooke everybody when you think of M.J. - Paul McCartney and Sony did not care for a black smart businessman and they said so too (yes it is a race thing). But like my mother always told me - KARMA, KARMA, KARMA can't come too soon. The tears of those children are on their lives - so don't worry justice will prevail whether it is in court or in their personal lives.
Let the toxicology reports come out and all the other evidence as well as us seeing Latoya and some other family members admit all these allegations on camera before we jump to conclusion about this information. Also, I thought he was closer to Janet than the rest of them. Jermaine said they were close, now Latoya, it was fed to the world that Janet was is closest confidant. What are we to believe?

Well, all I would like to say is that we don't know anything about someone's life, we hear a lot of things about Michael's life from the news. But honestly we can not tell what he was, because this is about his private life. We all make mistakes in life and I believe MJ might have made some, but I am NOBODY to judge him!!!! And I wish people would stop saying that he was an addict or a pedophile...
MJ was a SPECIAL HUMAN KIND, who cared about others we semed to give the best of him to for his children, but unfortunally he was sorrounded by people who only cared about his money and not about him. I REALLY HOPE that you are happy now MJ and also I HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE THE BEST LOVE AND CARE THAT THEY NEED. GOD BLESS YOU MJ!

JOE JACKSON should NOT get any attention by the media and SHOULD NOT get anything from Michael's estate through the children. That sicko should be STOPPED FROM SEING THE CHILDREN UNLESS SUPERVISED. Joe Jackson is a clear example of a SHARK and selfish indiividual willing to do anhything for his selfish goals.
Those wonderful children need to have a normal life BUT that may be difficult for a while because they need to mourn their father and go get accustomed to normal life. They will need a strong counsellor to guide them through the process.
Finally as to the issue of custody, I would not want to be the Judge deciding this as there are so many serious issues to consider including the wishes of the 2 older children !
Michael, you were a human being having to go through though times as we all have to BUT you had to show to the world the best of you and surely show no pain, no suffering while you were tormented inside. You gave it all to your fans and to the world of music and dance.May you R.I.P.

I think La Toya should be utterly ashamed of herself, she speaks of her brother being a 'cash cow', in my opinion this is exactly what Michael was to her, strange how she went to the house and noticed the supposed cash and jewels missing, which is equally an admission that she went there looking for such.
These Jacksons are deluded, everyone in the world knows Jackson wasnt a billionaire! furthermore, she claims that Michael was being forced into 50 concerts, though the same family were happy to allow AEG to host his funeral, I would expect that if they were the shady characters that she now claims, no family would have allowed the funeral to be held by them!
The only 'cash cow' that now exists in my opinion is those poor children! The Jackson family will use these kids in whatever way possible to make money from them! Joe Jackson has already stated that he sees potential in them! He's a sick individual, and now his sister La Toya is proving just how sick she is by making ludicrous stories up to dominate the headlines and gain money! Nasty Nasty Nasty!!!

Every time a celebrity passes on, the media has to milk the story beyond the last drop. From murder accusations to being worth more dead than alive. It's all bs, and it happens every time. Michael admitted he had a drug problem, and it is understandable. With the amount of plastic surgery he had, he was always given pain medicine. That adds up. Michael died from drugs as many others do.
Farewell Michael, and thank you for your entertainment. It was sincere and unable to be duplicated. Love you.
end.

Is it too much to ask that you not refer to him as JACKO, his name was MICHAEL JACKSON, so Jackson would be fine. He specifically said that Jacko was not nice, mostly because people would put Wacko in front of it. Would you call your Queen Lizzie? didn't think so. Its Jackson!

I will never believe Michael Jackson is dead, its as simple as that.

There are lots of stories/accusations swirling around Michael's life. When you live the kind of mega life he lived and make that kind of money - there will be stories. I think we ALL need to realize that if all of our secrets in our lives were revealed many many of us would be in the paper too and others would be shocked. We need to not be judging him - I pray he is in heaven with His heavenly father and that his family will find comfort/peace and be able to go on and live happy lives. Its such a shame that Hollywood does not learn from the recent drug deaths of several of its beloved stars. Fame brings great things but many need the drugs to handle the fame and what goes with it. Its time for them all to wake up if they do not want to be next. And, its time for all of us to look up to the One who created us and realize our lives are not in our own hands but in His - He owns time and He is the one who is ever in control. We make decisions, but ultimately, He always has the last word. May Michael rest in peace. Thank you for the incredible gifts you gave us all.

I like many others have never had the pleasure of meeting Michael Jackson, but his music brought so much love & joy into our hearts over the years. My family and I, (which we range from New Zealand & Australia), are just heart broken with the tragic loss of this great mega star. We send all our love to his family and his 3 beautiful children at this time and I'm sure the rest of the world, would like to join us in wishing the family all the best and our prayers are with you.

I was in the oahu Island when Michael gave two concerts and I consider myself lucky, when I was going to buy one ticket for the first one, it was sold out, and all the sudden they announce a second one, it was a blast, me and 60,000 people together as familiy with Michael, I felt the most extraordinary event in my life, Michael really in that moment for me became the King Of Pop, and I felt so lucky in that moment in time, we all sing, cried, yelled, and felt so special when michael said I love you all, because everyone was telling him we love him at the end of the concert and at all times, believe me it was a blast, he cried of joy, and I saw a tear and he was so happy like all of us, and sad he was going to leave the Island and promise to come back, too bad greedy people shortened his precious life. For me I being sad since, and going back to my memories of that night, january 4 at the Aloha stadium. We all sang aloha hoi, a famous song that the islanders sing when someone lives the island. Aloha Michael Jackson from the bottom of my heart. God bless his children. RIP

I was pretty moved reading this article. I will never forgot the joy you provided when you visited Sydney on your HIStory tour. Your legacy lives on in our hearts.
Please editors...he is not a Jacko...he is Michael Jackson. Please refer to him by his proper name out of respect.

Wow it was hard reading that without crying! I think people forget that Michael was a Father and he leaves behind three adorable and young chilldren and no-one should have to go through what they have. Prince, Paris and Blanket will be Michael's legacy and I'm sure they will go grow up to make their entire family increadibly proud. My thoughts and love are with them right now xx

The adults and kids both did right!! Bless them.
Fom being a child that who never knew mum had past away and sheilded with lies and any funeral, I never got to say goodbye or closure.
Its up the child if they can face it or not. Adults cant make this choice for them. Kids ae far tougher
And they never live a normal life because who they are!!! Thats show biz for ya

I believe that Michael will watch over his children the rest of their lives from Heaven.
He is an always will be their father.
I remember the last time I saw Michael on TV
he was on some show, I was rushing to get to work. I remember him at the mike and he said and I quote"
Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket thank you for loving me".
So farewell Sweet Prince, God has got your back and your in good company now.
