Diversity interview

Watch show champs describe their shock win

SHOCK BGT winners Diversity have given their first interview since Saturday night's sensational victory.

They admit they are still reeling from the unexpected result, but are looking forward to a bright future.

Diversity

Still revelling in their new-found glory on the morning after, the group's choreographer Ashley Banjo says: "We just came to do our best - I know that sounds like a cliche, but it's the 100 per cent truth.

"We just love dancing and love entertaining the crowd. We just do what we do."

Ashley was also full of praise for bookie's favourite Susan Boyle.

He says: "Susan said that the best act won. She's had a lot of pressure, was expected to win. She was great - such a nice woman."

Congratulations to diversity! What an amazing bunch of young people they are. Fantastic dancers, polite and intelligent. They are role models for the youth of today. The routines they performed throughout the contest were amazing.
It is really sad that the press still continue to focus on susan boyle rather than giving the winners the attention they deserve.

We in Western Australia, don't get to see the "Britain's Got Talent" show, why? I don't know. All we see of the show, is on U-Tube or the T.V news. What little I have seen of Diversity I thought was wonderful, exciting and original. I am a 65 year old grandmother who has watched my grand daughter dance in competitions and concerts for the last 15 years. So I do have a little knowledge of the work that is put into these performancies.
Well done Diversity, you would have got my vote, if I could have voted from Australia.

Guys you have been fantastic from the first audition and I was so lucky to have recorded it. It has been watched almost every day as well as subsequent performances and still brings a tear to my eyes, a 55 yr old man. You got my vote, the first time I have done so, and you deserve everything coming your way. You are a credit to your generation and hope you instill some sense of purpose to your peers. Keep up the good work

Susan Boyle you should have won. Your talent is great and you will be great too. The press is rude and the world is nnot kind. Know in your heart that God has given you a MARVELOUS gift and you have NOT LOST, but will continE
TO DELIGHT US WITH YOU SONGS YUR CD'S AND YOUR CONCERTS...YES, MY DEAR SUSAN, YOU DID WIN AFTERALL. LOVE your little Pebbles, know that we love you and thank you for giving you best... the pleasure was All OURS.

I THOUGHT SUSAN BOYLE WAS SO DIGNIFIED WHEN SHE CAME SECOND AND MAYBE IT IS NOT SUCH A BAD THING TO HAPPEN SHE NEEDS TO REST BECAUSE THE SNIPING AND GOADING OF A PERSON FROM A SMALL COMMUMITY IS TOO MUCH TO UNDERSTAND.SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND WILL BOUCE BACK.I WISH HER AND HER CAT,PEBBLES ALL THE LUCK IN THE FUTURE,AND I AM SURE SHE HAS A GOOD FUTURE.LOVE,JUNE

By siphiwe. Posted May 31 2009 at 7:29 PM.

Well lads, what more can I say after that stunning performance. You really deserved to win. Wish you the best in future.

By cyndie. Posted May 31 2009 at 6:40 PM.

Diversity the are worthy winners. They smashed it. I am quite disappointed that they are not getting the praise and recognition they deserve after all they did win. It has been about Susan Boyle all morning. Diversity you are champions. You deserve to win and can't wait to see you proform at the royal variety show

By Sonia. Posted May 31 2009 at 6:10 PM.

Im sooooooo happy for Diversity, good on you all you are soooo talented, and Ashley your extra talented to come up with the routines!

By kelly. Posted May 31 2009 at 5:39 PM.

Diversity are amazing :D

By Rachael. Posted May 31 2009 at 5:45 PM.

good on you guys i hope you continue to do well and entertain us susan boyle was very gracious in defeat seems like a lovely woman

By maddy. Posted May 31 2009 at 4:56 PM.

Diversity are what talent is about. The ideas behind the displays were fantastic and they were so in sync - truly awesome! Susan was good (and so were some of the others) but couldn't match Diversity in the talent stakes I'm afraid.

By karen . Posted May 31 2009 at 5:04 PM.

The best group won. I hope next year the show will go for over 16's only- No more kids.

By Trisha. Posted May 31 2009 at 4:11 PM.

well done guys. The best act won on the night and you deserve the win. The headlines about the 'shock of the win' with no hint of congratulations to the boys who totally deserved it, is a disgrace.

I really hope they are celebrated and that Britain show they are proud of them because they are worthy winners, they make a refreshing change from the Broken Britain brigade. They are an inspiration.

good luck boys

By kerry. Posted May 31 2009 at 4:05 PM.

OMG! Wow, this group were fabulous. It was overwhelming - bravo! (and wow, Ashley, you may be a great choreographer but you are a total honey!)

By Esther Porta. Posted May 31 2009 at 3:50 PM.

Diversity was fantanstic, and Ashley Banjo the choreographer what a future he's got. Go for it Lads, you did us proud.

By Fern. Posted May 31 2009 at 3:12 PM.

Last night's show was incredible with 10 superb acts. Diversity were worthy winners however, Susan Boyle is amazing and given the pressure on her over the last few weeks, she was nothing but professional and dignified last night ... I for one can't wait until her album is released. Susan don't give up you are a credit to the UK and Scotland.

By Sharmila. Posted May 31 2009 at 2:46 PM.

Lads, you were fantastic, well deserved win, loved u last night

By Pat. Posted May 31 2009 at 1:50 PM.

Who is Susan Boyle?

Diversity all the way

The guy who comes up with the ideas is awsome
