Virgin churchgoer storms into final after show-stopping performance

SINGING sensation Susan Boyle stormed into the Britain's Got Talent final - after Amanda Holden told her she was "turning into Eva Peron".

The Scottish singer - dubbed "The Hairy Angel" won the public vote as an estimated 14 million viewers watched her show-stopping version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats song Memory.

She earned a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience for her pitch-perfect rendition.

Judge Amanda Holden said she was biting all her acrylic nails off as Susan came to perform, adding: "You are turning in Eva Peron. I am just so relieved that it went so well for you."

Fellow judge Piers Morgan said: "I think you look beautiful tonight. And more importantly, you sang beautifully as well."

While Simon Cowell APOLOGISED to Susan. He said: I just want to apologise because the way we treated you before you first sang... you made me and everyone else look stupid."

Essex dancers Diversity join Susan in the final - after judges voted to put them through instead of 10-year-old Natalie Okri.

Also missing out on a place in the finals was "vixen violinist" Sue Son, dancer Darth Jackson, belly dancer Julia Naidenko, driller Nick Hell and Comedy duo Faces of Disco.
