Britain's Got Talent | David Watson horrifies Simon Cowell with his rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight on BGT

What a pudding!

Is this Britain’s worst’s singer?

DAVID Watson thought he was on to a winner singing Simon Cowell's favourite song on Britain's Got Talent.

The 51-year-old former pudding factory worker from Hull took on Lion King classic, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, on the show.

David told the judges he felt he'd: "Wasted the last seven years of my life in the pudding factory when I should have been on the singing circuit."

But it wasn't long before he was being buzzed off the stage with Simon declaring his rendition was: "So awful it is beyond description."

And Piers Morgan was left wondering if the wannabe was the worst singer in Britain.

The BGT act Simon Cowell said was awful beyond description
