Gord: I'm f***** off!

Chef can't stand heat so he's heading to Dubai

FOUL-MOUTHED Gordon Ramsay swears he'll soon be saying Dubai-bye to Britain.

As new figures reveal he's the world's highest-earning chef with a business empire soon to be worth £100 million, Gordon is plotting to escape the gloom of recession in the UK and take his family to sun-kissed Palm Island instead.

"I'm going to move to Dubai full-time in five years. That's my ambition." said Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word star Gordon, 41, who will emigrate with wife Tana, their four kids and his mum. "I'm looking at a plot at the end of one of the Palm Island branches. Mum's in her sixties and she loves it," he added.

The Ramsays now live in a huge Victorian mansion in Wandsworth, south London. But his incredible success means they can do much better.

He gets £157,000 an episode for US versions of Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares and he is expected to earn up to £15 million this year out of the kitchen from television, books and endorsements.

With the world's lowest tax rates-ranging from 5 to zero per cent-Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates, is a magnet for millionaires and Gordon will be neighbours with the Beckhams, Rod Stewart and F1 star Michael Schumacher.

"Dubai is booming now," said Gordon. "Everyone's saying it's going to be the next California or Monaco, because of its luxuriousness. There's a real buzz about Dubai. I'm proud to be a part of it."

null

There's just one little issue that could give him trouble. Swearing is illegal in Dubai and can result in a six month jail sentence.

So let's hope Gordon can watch his Ps and Qs . . . and Fs.

Most of the ignorant people here are making negative remarks about Dubai have never been. They are simply racist and ignorant. The crime rate is far less than the UK. It is safe, people are decent and the surroundings are beautiful. Women are treated well. They don't get the crazy rape or general crime stats we get in the UK. They know how to live. Do not listen to somebody who is talking from zero experience and who prefers 364 days a year of cold, dull rainy weather. Unfortunately because of international policy the West is the main target not the UAE. 99.9999% of Arabs love it. If you cannot afford to live there or visit then just accept it. Good luck to Gordon. You are successful and you deserve to reap the fruits.

It is amazing to read so many comments pro-Ramsay. I cannot imagine what kind of world we live in when people actually like and approve of a man of such a disgusting disposition. The sight and sould of the man makes me cringe, I think perhaps his language is the foulest that I have ever heard, I am tired of sending letters of complaing to the tv companies because no one cares, and people actually find his foul mouthed language acceptable. I simply find thae man rude, crude and a great big bully. I read that he states that he does not use this dreadful language at home in front of his family, I fail to actually believe that, the words fall too easily, too often from his tongue to actually just refrain from doing so when he is home, and anyway Gordon, if you do not take your foul offensive language home, why bring it into our homes? It really dosent make you look, big or good, just dispicable. How awful for his children to have a father with such a dreadful reputation, what do their friends think and the parents of their friends. Who would want their children mixing with adults who behave in this manner other than those who have no objection to this kind of language or behaviour as this proves they have no moral standards either.

My partner and I live in NZ and have just returned from the UK. Glad to be in the new world. People are just happier here. The door is open to good migrants and the quality of life is exactly what I want for our 2 year old daughter.

i personally like ramsay, he is an amazing chef and has helped out alot of peoples businesses and proved he is brilliant at what he does.

what upsets me though is the number of people jumping ship and leaving the uk. i dunno what the obsession with emmigrating is, all the rubbish about "england is ruined". dont make me laugh, i emmigrated to oz a few years ago, worst decision of my life. ive since returned to the uk and ive never been happier.
i notice in these comments that people are criticising posters for "moaning about gordon" but then they themselves moan about how rubbish england is.

all very pathetic.
well done to gordon, all the best. just a shame another brit wants to leave.

By tone. Posted October 28 2008 at 12:40 PM.

just becuase some of you guys hate the uk doesnt mean we all do, ive lived here all my life and im very happy!

By lily. Posted October 27 2008 at 8:59 PM.

You cant argue that he doesnt deserve it.. The man has 20+ restaurants.. a successful tv career.. a shed load of books.
If you really dont like him then dont buy the books or watch the programs.. oh wait, you'll buy the books and watch the program because you want to dislike him more... yet cant see that it help finance him more

Best of luck mate, you put the hard work in, enjoy it

By Adam. Posted October 27 2008 at 7:19 PM.

Well Done Gordon! Well atleast you could afford to leave the dustbin of the world!

By John McLoughlin. Posted October 27 2008 at 7:09 PM.

Gordon is a nasty piece of work - so good riddance.

He offers nothing of any worth- but is treated like a hero. What has he ever done? Cooked food - and treated people badly. I think Dubai is the perfect place to house his ridiculous ego.

By Jack. Posted October 27 2008 at 12:07 PM.

gordon take your crap recipes and feed the dogs in dubai good riddance

By jack tyler. Posted October 27 2008 at 11:15 AM.

Dubai is a ****hole of a place, one huge building site and when the extremists have their way in the UAE it will not be safe for the likes of Gordon or the other shortsighted ex pats who are rushing there to save a few tax pounds. Putting something back simply by paying your taxes is a foreign notion to men like effing G. Ramsay.

By Barry Milner. Posted October 27 2008 at 4:11 AM.

cannot believe sum of the comments on this.
Gordon is one of the best chefs in the world and is a really nice guy. Most of the comments r probably from england. and i wouldnt be suprised! all they do is moan.

goodluck Gordon, hate 2 c u go

By Steven. Posted October 27 2008 at 2:57 AM.

Good on you mate. England is crap...full of ignorant people who spend all their time watching football or going to the pub. Dull dull dull depressing and nobody cares less about England in the world...pointless country. Went to Dubai once.....without doubt the best place on earth... as long as the chav English don't ruin it like they did spain and most other countries.

By Jon. Posted October 27 2008 at 1:15 AM.

An absolute hell of a place to go with nothing to do except lie in the sun and shrivel up. In 10 years the place will be a target for terrorists if not before and all the brits will be charging to leave. Much better places to go but why oh why Dubai ?

By sandra george . Posted October 27 2008 at 12:59 AM.

Good for you Gordon! But instead of Dubai, why not come and live in New Zealand? I moved here 2 years ago to bring up my 4 year old in a good safe country. Yes , it has its problems but at least people are smiling and are happy! Sorry UK, time to grow up and look whats happening around you!!!!!

By andy. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:13 PM.

I was never a fan of any particular chef BUT I have just finished reading HUMBLE PIE and all i can say is what a truly remarkable man he has worked 24/7 for years and EVERYTHING he has is what he has sweated for anyone who was willing to work as hard could have the same BUT they dont they just moan and become jealous. I hope you and your lovely family settle happily and if i were you i wouldnt come back. Good Luck. Oh and what a lovely man to take his mum, Tana your great to.xx

By Haze. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:24 PM.

GOOD RIDDANCE.
Gordon Ramsey is an over confident bully who has made much of his money by humiliating ordinary people who are duped into thinking he will help them. One of his well selected 'victims' giving him a good smack in the mouth would show him up for what he really is. Reducing folk to tears Gordon isn't strength.... it's weakness in the extreme!

By Burton J Helling. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:42 PM.

Good on your Gord .. get out of scummy Britain.. love watching your show on BBC America

By marie. Posted October 26 2008 at 6:47 PM.

I have family living in Dubai, and yes, there are advantages and disadvantages, but overall, the lifestyle is hard to beat! Ordinary families lead normal lives away from the headline-grabbing stuff you read about Dubai, and I would say with certainty that for education, recreation, socialising, and the day to day running of your household, you have nothing to fear there! It is safe, clean, and generally hospitable, as long as you respect the customs and requirements of the local laws, anyone who doesn't has only themselves to blame when they run into trouble, e.g the 'sex-on-the-beach' couple, but these are extreme examples, and not representative of the ex-pat community as a whole. The Ramseys will soon come to appreciate what Dubai has to offer them as a family, they will love it! Some of the comments posted here are either total envy or abject ignorance!
I wouldn't wait five years though!

By Lynne. Posted October 26 2008 at 6:28 PM.

yes good bye gordon dont let the door hit you on the way out he he

Oh Gordon. I wish you and your family all the luck in the world. We too moved to CA as the weather back home was beating us into the ground. We love it here in Santa Monica. We go running every Saturday and Sunday morning along the Pacific. It's the best life. We worked so hard for what we have. But, our highlight of the week is watching you on Hell's Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares. We have all your books and DVDs. We just ADORE you. You're also on our myspace page. You're the hardest woring chef I have ever known. You deserve EVERY penny you have ever earned!
Good luck to all of you. Britain is now becoming a raining crime playground. But for the jealous couch potatoes, well they don't have a clue of how to get moving! hahahaha

By Pink Parasol. Posted October 26 2008 at 4:48 PM.

The foul mouthed gordon ramsey ( his name is not worth to be printed in capitals) should also take fellow colleague james oliver with him. The two of them are lower then a whale droppings in a bottom of a deepest ocean.

By Lajos. Posted October 26 2008 at 4:32 PM.

Don't do it Gordon!! You'll regret it when you could be locked for swearing.
all the best

By rod williams. Posted October 26 2008 at 4:04 PM.

I'm pleased that foul mouthed jock is leaving the country I only hope he doesn't come back on tv. I would't eat that muck he calls food any way.

By J lowes. Posted October 26 2008 at 3:34 PM.

england is now a **** hole, fair play to you son.

By rhys williams. Posted October 26 2008 at 2:39 PM.

Good Luck Gordon. If I had your Money I would do the same, I had to settle for the Canary Islands which is still nice and on budget! And to answer the question another 'blogger' asked as to why you. "because your a ******* character" and thats what makes SOME of us interesting.

Fancy asking that must be a Bloody lemming!

All the best!
Adam

PS. Would the last man out of the UK please turn the lights off.

By polly. Posted October 26 2008 at 2:41 PM.

we emigrated to USA 3 years ago to start our own business. I know how hard it is, blood, sweat and tears go into it. we are no where near as successfull as Gordon, but we keep going and hope all the sacrifices we have made pay off one day. Good luck to Gordon, i love watching him on BBC America.

By kris. Posted October 26 2008 at 11:25 AM.

Dirk Jonas, Andrew Ramsay and Johnny Mack, lets hope you get rid of your jealousy soon.
The man has done well for himself.
Oh and by the way, why would he fly out of Glasgow when he lives in London....

Good luck Gordon, wish we had emigrated to OZ when we had the chance.
All the best wishes

By Craig Dawes. Posted October 26 2008 at 10:54 AM.

We can only hope that it's true. 6 months for swearing that is. On one of his 'bad' days he''ll end up getting "life" for the amount of times he swears. Then watch out for his new series on TV "Prison food made easy". Please hurry up and leave Gordon, you are one of the most annoying individuals I have ever come across.

By Skwash. Posted October 26 2008 at 10:48 AM.

I addition to my prievious remarks, I would suggest that Ramsay also takes a long hard look at the political situation in this region. I worked there on and off for ten years and it is not somewhere where I would envisage retireing to.

By Dick Conway ex. forces. Posted October 26 2008 at 10:29 AM.

Why wait five years? I had the missfortune to watch the 'cookalong' programme last night and found the language used by Ramsay to be totally unactseptable. Also, when he does decide to leave, can he also take with him the two pieces of vermin/dogs vomit aka Ross and Brand.

By Dick Conway. Posted October 26 2008 at 10:26 AM.

Will you listen to all the people wishing Gordon well. People who are obviously jealous of his guts and determination to succeed. Those people need to get off their arse, get off the dole, get a life and make a life for themselves instead of pouring poison on someone who has achieved success. If you were happy with your own lives you would have little time (or inclination) to belittle others. There's nothing quite like the smell of sour grapes...

By The Last Word. Posted October 26 2008 at 10:22 AM.

Please please Gordon do it - please.
Get lost and good riddance to bad rubbish

By Dirk Jonas. Posted October 26 2008 at 9:49 AM.

Theres an Emirates flight at 2pm every day from Glasgow.
One less so called celebrity we wont have to listen to.

By Johnny Mack. Posted October 26 2008 at 9:25 AM.

LOL!!! Jealousy is rife in Britain.

If I had his millions, I wouldnt settle in the UK either, and I doubt any sane, hard working family man would do the same.

You dont get where Gordon is without some serious blood, sweat and tears and some horrific compromise - most of you moaning brits should put your own house in order.

Good luck Gordon

By Andrew Heaney. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:53 AM.

ive heard the prisons are not very nice, not as comfty as uk ones. So i guess thats where Gordan will be quite often, unless he gets his tongue removed. I can't blame him for going, we are thinking of moving abroad, the recession is everywhere but at least we could have no money but sunshine.

By lisa s. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:33 AM.

well he has made his millions here and in the usa... HE HAS MADE HIS MILLONS HERE AND THE USA some posters seem to think its their money.
He has paid plenty of tax more than any poster on here and now wants to go to this country to live in 5 years good for him.
Shame on the jealous who post on here good old brits never let the side down.
I would much rather go to manaco though.

By Finchy. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:24 AM.

That will clean up our TV then.

By sue darley. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:04 AM.

Good riddance !

I fail to see why viewers want to watch this talentless, foul mouthed ignorant person anyway.

By john. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:02 AM.

ha you can tell these responses were written by people living in dull UK, where cost of living is high and the people are miserable. I live in Dubai and its amazing place to live, women are not second class citizens who are you trying to kidd. if anyone got the opportunity bet they would move here as well. Grow up and get a life. Gordon move over and get away from the negativity of Britain

By palmera. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:01 AM.

got back from dubai last week. never going back! good luck gordon

By paul. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:07 AM.

it really annoys me that celebrities make their money in this country trying to get any little bit of media attention, rake in a rediculous amount of money, have millions in the bank and then decide that england is rubbish and move abroad. then what really makes me angry is when they move abroad to escape the tax man..why dont they want to pay tax????? they have plenty of money..celebrities are getting tighter and tighter the more money they have the less they want to spend.so gordan in your own words go **** off!!

By jessica reynolds. Posted October 26 2008 at 8:17 AM.

Thanks Gordon, makes his fortune in this country and then clears off to Dubai to save paying taxes in this country.

Cheers mate, good riddance!!!

By Chris U. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:31 AM.

Goodbye Gordo and good riddance.

By James Emery. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:37 AM.

Dubai is as leveraged as Iceland, it is also living on borrowed time. Believe it or not, this country has no oil.. it's "success" relies on cheap credit and their property bubble makes the UK look restrained. I'd steer well clear of this place.

By jake. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:33 AM.

what an idiot. good luck Tana you will need it in this backwards country & so will your girls.

By jackie. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:44 AM.

i do live in dubai, and was once arrested for swearing.... but was let go after an hour and a wee telling off....... either way wouldnt change this place.. well maybe a little.... 24 hour alcohol bans due to religious reasons is not true, during ramadan booze is banned during the day, but really its their country they can do what the want.. like some narrow minded people in the UK (not all but we know there is some) who say my country if you want to live here you live by our rules.... and so should we in theres

By iain. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:51 AM.

I have lived in the Middle East for 10 years and I lived in Dubai for 5 of those and was glad to leave that place. The expats there are terrible - many of them think they are something special and have attitudes which makes the rest of us look bad. Good luck to him if he goes. If the sun and heat doesn't drive him mad the traffic will. Not sure about the swearing but you can get into serious trouble for making rude signs with your fingers!

By Jane. Posted October 26 2008 at 6:46 AM.

So you make your millions in the "gloom " of England then take it out to dubai and pay no tax on it!Why wait **** OFF now you tight Jock!

By TAX PAYER. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:08 AM.

Totally medieval! Get with it Gordon! The next Monaco pahhhh dont make me laugh - NEVER EVER EVER can you compare it! Its an Arab country at the end of the day and NOT western world no matter what! women are suppressed there!! Locals loathe the ex-pats and I wonder when distaster will hit the fake land - i dont trust it myself

By Hilda Berant. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:18 AM.

Can I go with him PLEASE

By Laura. Posted October 26 2008 at 7:18 AM.

Why wait five years? Get yourself off there now cause you won't be missed bye bye

By sapphira. Posted October 26 2008 at 6:11 AM.

What an awful place. Glum locals, 24 hour alcohol bans due to religious reasons, too hot to walk the streets, yellow gold, extreme materialism and inbuilt sexism. The one place on this earth I would not return to.

By moc. Posted October 26 2008 at 5:44 AM.

He got to be f******** joking

By Ralph Corsham. Posted October 26 2008 at 1:35 AM.

Swearing is illegal in Dubai. Since when? You had better tell that to the many ex-pats there who regularly swear. I lived there for 7.5 years and never heard of this. Locals call foreigners 'dogs' as that is as offensive as it can get for them!!

You go Gordon. You will not be missed.

By Debbie. Posted October 26 2008 at 1:41 AM.

Gordon will have a rough time trying to break the
naughty little habit of swearing....
I imagine it will be like trying to quit a pack-a-day habit.

I wish he and his family all the best.

By VioletteUK. Posted October 26 2008 at 1:32 AM.

Why anyone would want to live in this Medieval country is beyond me. If you want sun go somewhere else, preferably where women aren't treated like second class citizens.

By Tom. Posted October 26 2008 at 1:10 AM.
