Susan Boyle to earn £8k a minute at private gigs

Susan Boyle for hire .. at £8k a minute!

That's £140 for every second..which is £10 more than she used to live on for a week

FRAGILE Susan Boyle can stop claiming £130 a week in benefits-she's charging £8,000 A MINUTE to perform live.

Subo, who has pulled out of tonight's Britain's Got Talent tour gig in Manchester, is being booked by corporate clients for £100,000 per 12-minute set.

That's £8,333 a MINUTE. Or it's £140 a SECOND-£10 more than the £129.64 a WEEK the singer lives on.

But her ability to cope with the showbiz life was thrown into further doubt last night when she had a wobble after the Sheffield concert.

Ovation

She stumbled over some of the words for Memory and, despite getting a standing ovation, decided to head back home to Scotland today, missing tonight's Manchester show. BGT tour organisers were confident she would perform in Glasgow tomorrow.

Her corporate bookings will quickly add to the £8million fortune SuBo will amass after signing a recording contract with show boss Simon Cowell.

They come after her comeback on the Britain's Got Talent tour in Birmingham on Friday night, following her spell in rehab being treated for stress brought on by her fame.A source close to the singer, who was runner-up on the show, revealed: "She's the biggest star to have come out of Britain's Got Talent, so her price to sing reflects that.

"These fees mean it will take ten dates for her to make a million pounds, which is unprecedented for a talent show winner." Unmarried Susan, 48, has yet to earn a penny from the show, despite becoming famous around the world.

But that is all about to change. Our BGT insider said: "Now we can start making her some serious money. We have to do it soon to capitalise on the huge interest in her, especially in America."

Susan's bookings are being handled by Andrew Pountain of Industry Music Group. They have been hired exclusively to book out all the BGT finalists outside the tour.

The firm made thousands for last year's BGT winner George Sampson by booking him for corporate gigs. We saw an email between Pountain and one corporate client inquiring about booking Susan to perform three four- minute songs at an event in August. He replied the fee would be "100k plus VAT."

Susan rents her council house and has told her family she wants to buy it and give the rest of her pending fortune to relatives.

Meltdown

On her current rate, just one performance would give her more than enough to buy the £80,000 house.

We can reveal Susan found the strength to make her first live performance since her meltdown from her late mother's wedding ring. She wears the memento of mum Bridget on a necklace. Her brother John, 59, told us: "My mum cared for Susan and helped her become the talent she is."

MY FUR LADY: Pebbles and Susan

Even the cat gets a pussport

By James Desborough

SUSAN has arranged the purrfect gift for herself-a passport for her CAT.

The home-loving singer is nervous about a proposed tour to the US later this year.

She has told record label bosses she would be more comfortable with her beloved pet Pebbles by her side.

So she has asked them to organise an ID card for the cat.

Susan, who is a sensation in the States, pined for Pebbles when she stayed in The Priory to recover after Britain's Got Talent finished.

According to reports she missed Pebbles so much she phoned to speak to her.

The cat would travel under the PETS (Pet Travel Scheme) which allows passage without quarantine.

A source at Simon Cowell's company Syco said: "Susan is very attached to Pebbles. She missed her when she was in The Priory and couldn't wait to be reunited with her. Pebbles really is like family to Susan. They are very close.

"Susan is excited about her career and quite excited about going over to America but there is one condition- that Pebbles goes too."

The source added: "Simon feels very protective over Susan. Her happiness is of the utmost priority to him."

Tour will be 'last straw'

By Jennifer Wiley

BRITAIN'S Got Talent tour host Stephen Mulhern is terrified Susan Boyle will crack before the end of the 26-show run.

Despite her triumphant comeback at the opening performance on Friday he fears the pressure and stress will overwhelm her.

He said: "I'm worried she won't make it to the end."

In the same shimmery grey she wore in the BGT fibnal final last month, Susan stunned a 5,000-strong audience in Birmingham with flawless renditions of her hits I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables and Memory from Cats.

Stephen, 29, said: "She did great-an amazing comeback and the audience loved it. But I honestly didn't know if she was going to go on stage, right until the last minute.

"I was worried I would say her name, turn around and not see her there. I had some ad-libs ready."

And Stephen, who fronted Britain's Got More Talent on ITV2, fears every show will be the same.

An insider says the other stars were warned Susan will not be allowed to perform every time.

He said: "There are at least three shows she won't perform in. It's to do with the level of stress she can handle."

The source said the other performers feel they are "walking on eggshells" around her as they never know when she will have one of her tantrums.

Susan, who spent five days in the Priory after coming second in the final, is now constantly flanked by two minders.

After Friday's show, when one fan got close and asked how it went, Susan replied: "It was good, it was good."

When the female minder whispered in Susan's ear she shut up and spluttered: "Oh right, I don't want to upset anyone."

Stephen is also worried about singer Hollie Steel, 10, who burst into tears in the semi-finals. He said: "I was scared she would cry again on Friday. But she preformed brilliantly."
