Cops caution gay star George Michael over drugs
HE'S at it again-troubled pop idol George Michael has been NABBED by cops in a public toilet . . . this time with CRACK COCAINE and CANNABIS on him, we can reveal.
The multi-millionaire singer was arrested after a tip-off from a suspicious lavatory attendant as he lurked in underground loos near London's Hampstead Heath on Friday afternoon.
Former Wham heart-throb George, 45, was taken to a police station where he admitted possession of Class A and C drugs and accepted a caution.
Last month he played a series of farewell concerts saying he wanted a "quieter life" and declaring: "I'm an old man, I really need to sit down."
But off stage he seems as busy as ever with his sordid pursuits.
His shock arrest near his favourite gay haunt comes after the News of the World caught him trawling the notorious north London heath for sex. George's first toilet shame was in Los Angeles in 1998 when he flashed at a cop. But over the last decade his behaviour has become even more worryingly erratic. He's been found slumped at the wheel of his car, caught driving under the influence of drugs and smoked marijuana on TV.
Revealing his latest disgrace, a source told us: "George was hanging around the toilets near the heath for quite a while. A lot of people became suspicious.
"He is a very well known face and eventually his odd behaviour caused a toilet attendant to call the police.
"When the officers arrived Michael was still in the loos. They searched him and found he had drugs on him. He was quickly carted off to the police station."
The toilets where George was caught are just a few miles from his luxury £5 million Highgate mansion. Situated at the bottom end of Hampstead Heath, the notorious loos are close to a seating area of the heath popular with families.
They are well known as a place where men go cottaging for gay sex. Inside is a "No Loitering" sign.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard told us: "A 45-year-old male was arrested in the Hampstead Heath area on September 19 on suspicion of the possession of drugs.
"He was taken to a north London police station where he was interviewed and received a caution for possession of Class A and Class C drugs."
Cops decided not to refer the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service for possible further action, saying George had showed 'remorse'.
Instead, they cautioned him. "He has been released and there will be no further action," said the spokesman.
But there has been far too much action of the scandalous sort in the superstar's life.
His shock arrest comes two years after the News of the World caught him trawling for illegal gay sex thrills in the same London park. He was seen by our reporters emerging from bushes on the heath after cavorting with another man.
When challenged George was wild-eyed and trembling. Trying to hide his face under a baseball cap, he screamed: "I don't believe it! F*** off! If you put those pictures in the paper I'll sue!"
His descent into shame began when he exposed himself in front of an undercover cop in a Beverly Hills park loo.
He was fined £450 by a Los Angeles court and ordered to do 80 hours' community service.
But in recent years drugs have plagued his life. He pleaded guilty to being unfit to drive last year after he was found slumped at the wheel of his car in north London.
Tests showed anti-depressants, cannabis and illegal dance drug GHB in his blood.
George-who has amassed a £70 million fortune from sales of records including I Want Your Sex and Careless Whisper-confessed he was battling an addiction to prescription drugs during an interview with Michael Parkinson last year.
The star told viewers he thought smoking dope was fine-but said he regretted being filmed using the drug for The South Bank Show.
At his last concert at Earls Court in London last month he announced to journalists that there would be no more stadium tours.
He said: "It's been an amazing ride but there seemed to be too many moments when the compromises seemed too huge."
Last night it was unclear whether George was at his Highgate home. His long-term partner Kenny Goss was dropped off at the black gates by a chauffeur-driven black BMW.
He stayed at the house for about 15 minutes before he was picked up by a woman driving a silver Mercedes.
When asked how the superstar was, Kenny replied: "I've got no comment to make."

strange how poor George is only ever picked up for his mistakes, how about all the good he does, have the critics ever sat down and really listened to the heartbreak in his songs, he has helped me through some really bad times with his music, he tells us how he feels if we really listen. There will never be another George Michael, lets remember that and support him, he should not retire he needs to carry on, for himself and his loyal fans who love him and always will, nomatter what.

i love george micheal. his music owns. yeah driving under the influence is bad, of course, but if he wants to do drugs and meet people for no strings sex thats down to him. he isnt hurting anyone and how many of us have met a man or woman in a nightclub, bar etc. so what if he goes to the park!

People kill me with their self-righteous comments. George Michael is a regular person, who makes mistakes, just like every other regular person. What I can admire is that with all his money, he's the same dude he always was. If he wants sex, he doesn't order in like most rich folk, he goes out there and he meets people. I think that's okay, because he's a real person. How many of you who are judging George Michael, are real people? Most of you are probably fake, with no talent, and you make plenty of mistakes, too. If you had cameras following you all day and night, I wonder what would be discovered about you.

I do not know what it is about some gay guys, but they just have to cruise. I live with a very successful businessman, we have a flat in London, a house in the country and a villa abroad. I have a very good job but still when my partner is away on business I have to go on the heath to cruise. I will spend hours there and on numerous occasions I have seen George mincing about. The sad thing about us both, by the way I have never spoke to him, is that we both do not need to do it. It is the buss you get from cruising that makes you go back time and time again. You see actors, MP's vicars and priests all trying to pick someone up. When George Michael is there, there seems to be more police about. Instead of stopping knife and gun crime on the streets, they are on the heath. I think the straight coppers get a thrill out of seeing two men having sex, as for the gay ones they love being on the heath. In regards to Georges drug habit, he is never going to stop, he is like the very talented Amy Winehouse. The will both stop when they are carried out in a box.

I'm not a fan of Michael, nor have I ever been. I detest his music (if you can call it that), and he never fails to reach new depths with each personal crisis that he brings upon himself. That being said, I truly hope that this individual gets the psychiatric help that he so desperately needs. No ones life should be ruled by such ongoing drama. George ... get some help dude. With great talent and success come great pressures and temptations. Getting off drugs or a habit of dangerous thrill-seeking is in part about humbling yourself and facing up to the ego. Repeat cycle. Yet millions of people have kicked this cycle, first because they wanted to and second because help is out there for the taking. The bigger they are the harder they fall -- but getting back up again is a choice.

Went to see George Michael when he came to the states to Atlanta, GA! He was awesome I wish he would reconsider touring. Too many people are working so hard to find his faults and those are the same people that have too many faults of their own. You better be careful who you judge. Yes he has some issues, but hey, don’t we all, one way or another!
He obviously needs professional help with his drug taking, but this is not going to happen if he is constantly ridiculed with every mistake he makes, especially by the media!…. Consciously or subconsciously I would like to think, it’s only human nature to rebel!
Anyone in George’s situation needs the HONEST & TRUE support from his friends & family, the kind of core people who would SUPPORT & HELP him for the person who they truly CARE for & LOVE & care LESS for the size of his wallet!

I love George,have done since i was little,i think he is brilliant but he needs to sort himself out otherwise in a few years we will be hearing some sad news about him. With all the money he has, and with his cravings to hook up with other gay men, one would think he would have a more discreet way of doing so. Hanging out in public toilets is just nasty! It just goes to show you that fame and fortune do not equate to happiness. Obviously there are some deep psychological issues he's dealing with. And to the ones who say to "leave him alone...what he does in his private life is nobody else's business" what he does in private, he does in public places so he makes it the world's business. He is also committing "REAL" crimes, so he should be punished just the same.
But I do feel for the guy. At least with his anonymous trysts, he knows exactly what he's getting, and the drugs either make him feel happy or dull the pain. It's his so called "friends" that probably use and abuse him, and he doesn't know who to trust.

I think that he should be mandated to a rehab facility. He is just too talented of a person to be left to die out here in the streets. That is what is going to happen or to become tainted with HIV/AIDS. George, man get some help!!! Isn't life worth living anymore?? If not then why not. Find yourself. Being a recovering addict, I know where you are and I tell you that life has a better place for you but first getting yourself free of drugs is the first step, then you will see that life is worth living again. I wish I was near you because the only way that I can keep what I have is to continue to give it back. Hang on!!!

We each have a chance to live a life worthy or unworthy. It's just our choice that Yahweh gave all of mankind.
