CHARLOTTE Church has branded Cheryl Cole GUTLESS on the X Factor -and WEAK for taking back cheating hubby Ashley.

She lashed out after Cheryl, 25, abstained from voting on pal Nikk Major's performance on the opening show of the ITV1 series.

Charlotte, rekindling her feud with the Girls Aloud star, told a pal: "Cheryl proved she's got no backbone.

"X Factor needed someone with wit and grit but she couldn't even give an honest answer to Nikk, let alone charm her way out of the situation."

Charl continued: "To take Ashley back shows complete lack of self-respect."

And she vowed never to have Cheryl on her TV show, as she's "too boring".
