TROUBLED pop beauty Cheryl Cole shows that her broken heart is taking its toll on her once-curvy figure.

The Girl Aloud singer looked a shadow of her former self as she dropped into a London petrol station last week. Cheryl, 24, wore a baggy vest, and her skeletal frame and ribs were clearly visible.

The sad star, snapped last year with a beaming smile and cracking figure, has dropped two dress sizes since learning Chelsea star husband Ashley Cole, 27, cheated. She now weighs less than seven stone.

Cheryl, who puts her shape down to exercise, said: "I've had to watch my weight and do rigorous workouts to keep trim."

But friends say she's struggling to save her marriage. A source said: "Cheryl's weight has plummeted. She was a size 10. Now she has to buy size six outfits."
