THIS is the moment Apprentice lovebirds Kate Walsh and Philip Taylor first got intimate, setting the foundation for a romance.

Kate, 27, couldn't concealer feelings as Philip, 29, let her touch up his make-up.

In these scenes, licensing development manager Kate, who models herself on Sex & The City maneater Samantha Jones, giggles as she tells Philip: "Metrosexual means that you're in touch with your feminine side."

And estate agent Philip admits: "I enjoy the odd cosmetic here and there. Chicks dig it. If it's good enough for Beckham, it's good enough for me. From past experiences with former girlfriends I like to think I have a fair grasp of the market."

We can reveal the pair did end up in bed during the show-but waited till the series was over to have sex.

A close friend of Philip's said: "He couldn't resist her, they didn't go all the way while they were in the Apprentice penthouse together, but there was a fumble under the duvet.

He couldn't help it. They are in a serious relationship now." Philip's ex Rachel Pascall added: "They are boyfriend and girlfriend. Philip loves blondes in business suits, and she ticks all his boxes."

A show insider said: "Until now there have been little glimpses into Kate and Phil's blossoming relationship - but this is when things really kick off with some full-on flirting."

The Apprentice is on Wednesday (BBC1, 9pm)
