BEARDED Apprentice wannabe Majid Nagra has a secret thug past-which led to him being expelled from school at 17.

Business partner and pal Qaiser Jareed revealed how a horrific family motorway tragedy deeply affected Majid-turning him from A-grade student to wild yob.

Qaiser told us: "Maj was two days from his ninth birthday when his sister, brother, brother-in-law and cousin all died in a car crash on the M1. Maj was desolated. Until then he'd been a good boy at school who never mucked about. But he became a total tearaway, full of rage, like an animal.

"He was just a bad boy, messing around and getting into fights.

"It was his way or not at all. Anyone who told him different would get dealt with. He used to abuse the teachers and even hit out at one once and kicked him.

"He was eventually expelled when he was in sixth form. The school had tried but the disruption was too much." And it seems getting booted out was just the jolt Majid needed to get his life back on track. Fearing he was letting his family down, he won a place at his hometown university in Coventry and began his climb to success.

Now 28 he has a property portfolio and a weddings website. And as a devoted Muslim he invests in local youngsters, running a youth club to steer them away from radical Islam. Pal Qaiser said: "Maj is a good lad. He deserves a lot of credit for turning his life around."

i really wanted maj to win.he was a strong person and had a stong character.it was a that he got fired but i am sure he will achieve in the future

I used to work with Maj a few years ago doing telesales and he was a good lad, I really hopes he wins it this year COME ON MAJ!!!!!!

Its sad about what happend to his family but its pleasing he was able to change himself around. Really hope he wins the apprentice
