first off, she's over 18 she can do whatever the hell she wants. second, why is everyone making such a fuss over it, i watch people smoke in public every day. it's not that uncommon. but just because she's a celebrity and she's supposed to be a "role model" makes it a crime for her to smoke?

Ya know, last time I checked, smoking pot is still illegal, not to mention is sets a poor example for the kids who are fans of the Twilight movie who idolize her for playing Bella. Perhaps the studio should recast the role of Bella, giving it to an actress who understands the concept of professional decorum. If she can't handle the stress of being an actress and fulfilling her obligations in movie publicity, then perhaps she should get into another profession. I hear that she is very snotty to work with and they have to beg her to even do any publicity for the movie Twilight. I say, "give her the heeve-ho!" What studio needs that kind of publicity, not to mention insuring her as an actress.

Smoking pot is the biggest waste of time, when you're high you do nothing but sit on your ass and laugh about things that are not even remotely funny. She is stupid for doing this right on her bloody front porch, where paparazzi are obviously going to be stalking her. Oh, and by the way...
Marijuana is still illegal..don't know if you got the memo, but she could get in a lot of trouble for this, she even publicly admitted that she will not stop her drug use. I really enjoy Stewart's work, I hope this doesn't screw her career.

Thats kinda of bad of her to smoke pipe. I dont know much about Smoking pipe. Im a huge fan of Twilight and i dont care if she smokes. Im also a huge fan of Kristen and Robert. I think Robert and Kristen make a good couple. Im disappointed that she smokes pipe when shes not even done with High school. Everyone get over it. Its her life she can do whatever she wants. Its kinda of risking her health by smoking. Even Robert smokes everyone. So dont think shes the only one. I know because i saw a video on youtube showing that both Robert and Kristen Smoke.

okay so some people care, and some dont...but i am a HUGE fan of twilight and can not wait to see the movie (as it is not out in the place in England where i live *yet*) but cant the press leave people alone! She is going to be millions of girls hereos all over the world because of twilight, and the press have now crushed those girls by saying that one of their favourite characters (as in all the books the story is told by Bella's point of view) is smoking dope, all i can say is "well done press, you have upset some people and maybe made a deal out of nothing...again. congratulations, you must be so proud"

It's not a bong, it's a pipe. And as the last person said, who cares? The media's constant fervor over 'super strong mind bending weed' skunk and other types of marijuana is misplaced. Many people enjoy it instead of alcohol and no doubt suffer fewer problems and cause less grief and stress to the health service than alcohol users. I am surprised the much touted 'linked to mental illness' guff isn't mentioned every time these days. Maybe because they have realised that is misleading too as it can catalise revelation of mental illness, but in no way causes it.

Let the girl smoke her peace pipe and be happy. It should be legal the world over. But then, that would give third world countries a cash-crop to help lift them out of poverty and the west wouldn't allow that...
