She signs up to host awards
POP Princess Kylie Minogue has been signed up to host the Brit Awards on TV.
Kylie, a three-time Brit winner herself, is the shock superstar choice of the show's bosses to front the prestige event.
We can reveal she will team up with Gavin & Stacey stars James Corden and Mathew Horne, both 30, to ensure the February bash is the best yet.
An ITV insider last night said: "Kylie's confirmed with bosses at the channel and they couldn't be more pleased.
"They were desperate for her to host last year but, as she was gearing up for a tour, the timing wasn't right."
Aussie Kylie, 40, who battled breast cancer in 2006, has been hinting recently about a career change.
She said: "I'm starting to think acting again would be good. I've done a few little comedy bits and pieces as a guest on different shows and absolutely love it."
It will be the second year that a musical legend has fronted The Brit Awards. Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon took to the Earl's Court stage last time.

Kylie is the perfect choice - hooray! Funnily enough, I was only saying last year, that they should have chosen Kylie instead of the car crash that wa Sharon Osbourne. Kylie was about the only presenter who displayed professionalism last year when she presented Paul McCartney with his award.

OMG, Kylie will be perfect on the brit awards, Kylie has been around since the 80's and shes still going strong today, I have so much respect for the princess of pop, Kylie is one of the kind, there is only one kylie, I am so looking forward to the brits this year, it will be way better than last years, by the way debbie get a life, you dont know anything

She will do a lot better than shazza. Most of those award presenters can barely string two words together. Still money never did buy you class or taste, what happened to the taste buds of the celebrity jungle people, do they actually like eating insects?

i think its wonderful and about time they give our princess of pop a slot on the Brit's presenting, kylie deserves to host the show, Especially being a BIG BIG fan of her's, Iam going to be GLUED to the telly Bravo Bravo Go Team Minogue!!!!

Kylie has been in the industry for over 20 years this isnt by chance or luck, as she has worked hard at her career so how dare Debbie say that Kylie wouldnt be a great choice as she has talent and i would say her shows are amazing plus she also sings all her shows live unlike most other artist, also she is a very down to earth lady and certainly no diva, all she has not inflated her ticket prices for her shows unlike other artists, she also has done 7 consecutive sell out shows at London's O2 in Greenwich on her X tour so it all speaks for itself, Debbie get your facts str8 before having a go.

i think kylie will do a fantastic job and being a big fan i can not wait,it will be a great show and she as been in the business a long time so she is the right person to do it.and if she peformance that will be a bonus go kylie

Who better to do this than one of the most beautiful women in the industry that this show is relevant to. I'd sooner look at Kylie at her dumbest than listen to those foul Osbourne's abuse people. She'll upstage the entire motley crew.
