A PREVIOUSLY unseen video of a shy and flustered Susan in a local talent contest has been unearthed by the News of the World.

The footage (below) from 2001 shows the singer with her trademark frizzy hair and untamed eyebrows bumping into a table as she approaches the stage.

She lost to rival singer James McCracken. The video was taken at the Linlithgow Rose Social Club in West Lothian by Marie Logan, whose son was competing.

Marie said: "I remember thinking at the time that Susan should have won because her voice was just incredible."

I was thrilled to see there was something new on the fansite since yesterday, what a pleasant surprise another Susan Boyle song I never heard before. She sang it great then, I bet if we heard her sing it today it would be even better, with all these years of practice sinse then. Eight years later and she is a superstar, I don't know why it took so long for her talent to be recognized. I will be getting her cd tomorrow and already looking forward to the next one, Love You Susan best of luck and love.

Susan was awesome then...as now...its got me beat that it took this long for her to be recognised for the stunning singer that she is.Was everyone around her deaf and dumb to her amazing talent

I am 60 years old, but I hear her voice and it brings back memories of days long gone. A voice that should elicit admiration from the likes of Barbara Striesand.
I have heard a bit of the pending recording. Not remarkable in its selection of songs and delivery, but give her time and she will find her own voice that will mesmerize us and bring feelings of joy and love.

Susan's voice is too good for this venue - she is at her best in concert or in a recording studio that can provide the quality acoustics her voice deserves. She can sing a Capella as far as I'm concerned and be a great singer.

I hope the 'handlers' don't change her. She is beyond fantastic for those of us who remember when artists could actually sing.

I have watched her video clips at least 400 times on you tube - maybe more. I am still moved to tears. She reaches into the inner sanctum of my being and brings out feelings I cannot yet identify or explain I love this lady!!
