Tale of climber who amputated his own arm

SLUMDOG Millionaire director Danny Boyle and writer Simon Beaufoy are teaming up again - for a horrific film about a climber who hacked off his own ARM.

The movie, based on Aron Ralston's real-life survival story, will have a whole HOUR without any dialogue - a first for film-making.

It will tell how the 28-year-old adventurer was trapped for five days when his left arm was crushed by a boulder in Utah in 2003.

He cut away at his flesh and bone before abseiling down a 65ft cliff and hiking eight miles to his car.

Batman Begins star Cillian Murphy is the top choice to play Aron, and the film is due out in late 2010.

A source said: "Danny wants to try something at the opposite end of the spectrum to Slumdog."

I am so excited for his! Cillian is an excellent choice! He was amazing in Sunshine & 28 Days Later. Watch the short silent movie The Water he is in and you will see he is also talented at acting without dialogue.

Oh, Jesus, Cillian: NO. Leave it for Ryan Gosling. Make at least ONE FILM that people actually want to see...!!!
