RUDE Jude Law us refusing to see the latest addition to his brood until DNA tests PROVE that he's the daddy.

Model Sam Burke, 24, gave birth to Sophia in Florida on Tuesday and claims the baby is the product of a fling with the 36-year-old actor.

But Jude, who has three children with former wife Sadie Frost, was NOT present at the birth, refusing to make the three-hour trip from New York, where he's starring in Hamlet. A friend said: "Jude is still very cautious about Sam and Sophia. Until he is 100 per cent certain she is his daughter he is only communicating through lawyers.

"If he is the father he will meet his obligations to the child. He's hoping for an early chance to establish that he is genuinely her dad."

Sam has told friends Jude paid for antenatal care and for the birth, but the friend added: "It was an act of kindness rather than an admission that he was the dad."

Sam's representatives are now negotiating a six-figure deal for pictures of the baby, but Jude's lawyers have asked her not to talk to the media until they agree a financial package if the baby is confirmed as his.

Sam's gran Delores, 80, has spoken out, accusing Jude of taking advantage. "She's a lovely outgoing girl and he's a lot older man, with three children from a failed marriage. It breaks your heart."

Who can blame Jude for wanting to 100% sure that the baby is his. At least one person in this saga is being sensible.

All the mother seems to care about is how much money she can make from her child. And her family have been very vitriolic about Jude so like Amy, I hope it turns out not be his. Like to see her family eat humlbe pie then.

I really hope it's not his after everything she and her family have said and done - this poor child would then have a chance of a normal life, not having every moment of its life sold to the highest bidder otherwise.

A decent person doesn't try to negotiate pictures of their baby's birth before it's even born when her only claim to fame is a two-night fling with a famous actor.
