A "sleepy" Kerry Katona slumped to new depths today slurring her way through a bizarre TV interview live on This Morning.
Viewers flooded ITV with calls worried that the troubled former singer appeared drunk during the rambling chat with Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.
At one point, a visibly shocked Philip stepped in and said: "You don't look right to me, your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?"
Kerry glanced off-camera and asked: "Is it?"
She blamed prescription sleeping pills, which she had woken at 2am to take and then spent much of the rest of the interview peering around the studio, calling out for husband Mark Croft.
At one point she appeared to forget the name of her new TV series and asked where her career is going she replied: "Nowhere really..." - but then claimed: "I've never been happier."
Quizzed by Fern about claims she had champagne and shots of booze before a recent photo shoot, she replied: "I was on holiday in Spain, I'm allowed to have a drink aren't I? Does that mean I'm an alcoholic?"
Fern and Philip were left shocked by the end of the interview with Philip's face frozen in a stunned smile as he thanked Kerry for joining them on the This Morning sofa.
The 28-year-old Iceland ad girl was promoting her new MTV show - she had £15,000 of plastic surgery to recover her pre-pregnancy shape.

when Kerrys marrige to Brian ended i felt for her as you could see how much she loved him, and when she went off the rails i laid the blame firmly at his door. but no more . she has married a slob and a idiot who clearly encourages her druggie booze life style. she clearly needs help but she will not get it while shes with him. I think brian mcfadden should have custody of his children and her son should be placed on the at risk register while she behaves in this inexcuseable way, kids should not be around this . the medication excuse has worn thin . perhaps taking her kids away will give her the wake up call she desperatly needs . you would think she would of learnt from HER upbringing and strove for her kids to have a good mum

I have been watching kerry on mtv this while and ever since mark has came in2 her life it seems 2 be going downhill i don,t actually think mark is in love with her just her money .i felt embrassed and angry because she seemed intoxicated and then going on about baby max crying alot she never has her kids.sum1 needs 2 intervene b4 all her kids r taken off her.come on kerry u were voted mum of the year and thats when mark wasn,t in your life.new body new man

i like kerry and think she should be given a break,i believe the medication made her slur.
she is going through a rough enough time with being bankrapt without people trying to make her look bad on tv.good luck to kerry hope you pick yourself up soon.

When Kerry was on I'm a Celeb I thought she was great. I felt so sorry for her when Brian dumped her, so much so that if I could have seen her to give her a big hug and a shoulder to cry on then I would have done. However, since she's been with that Mark Croft she has become a totally different person. The only person who can help her is herself. I have also suffered severe depression and am still on medication - its not a nice place to be. But with help from counsellors and my friends and family I am getting over it. I am on my own with my 9 year old son. I have never turned to drink or drugs to make me feel better. What good would that do? Kerry needs to get shot of that no good husband of hers and get some proper counselling. It will be hard for her at first but in the long run it will make her a better person. The OKAY shoot/interview was absolutely horrific reading. Can't she see that people are just taking the mick out of her and cashing in on her name?!! Boot the husband out Kerry and start to rebuild your life before its too late. We slate Amy Winehouse but at least she's not responsible for 4 innocent young children. I hope she does the the right thing while she can. We want the old Kerry back!

I do believe that Kerry was slurring on This Morning because of her medication. But I cannot understand why Iceland keep giving her new contracts for their adverts when they know that Kerry has a definate drink and drugs problem. I think it must be that the top man fancies her!

I really just feel sorry for her. We know the way its going to end up mark will leave her she'll have no-one and go off the rails again. God Love her. Mark is no good for you kerry. Its so damm clear. Waken UP
