The boozy star has been forced to leave his £400,000 luxury home after a court ordered him to STAY AWAY from wife Sandra following a drunken bust-up.
So Jones, 56 - who once earned £150,000 a year as Street layabout Les Battersby and lived in an £800,000 five-bed house - has moved into a pal's static at a North Wales holiday park.
Another friend said: "We are really worried about him. He is desperately unhappy and has hit rock bottom.
"Ever since he left Coronation Street he has been struggling to cope financially but now his problems have got much worse."
Jones faces charges of assault, drink driving and dangerous driving over a furious row with Sandra in a car last month. A condition of his police bail is that he has no contact with her.
Bruce has told pals the row erupted over a ring given to him by his mother. "I thought I had lost it and it ended up in Sandra's handbag. I went off the dial," he said.
The dad of four - sacked from the Street in 2007 after a drunken tirade against his co-stars - rarely ventures out of the 28ft by 12ft caravan that has been his home for the past two weeks.
When he does pop out for a coffee at the Parkmart resort shop he wears a cap and pulls up his collar in a desperate bid to avoid being recognised.
"Bruce has always been the life and soul of the party but now he is withdrawn and depressed," said the pal.
The Ty Mawr caravan park in Towyn near Rhyl is one of the most popular in North Wales. X-Factor star Chico was appearing there last night.
But no one notices faded star Jones slipping off the site and into a deserted bar in a nearby caravan park where he sips his pint alone.
"He doesn't want people to see him at his lowest ebb," said our source. "He is just living each day as it comes." Wife Sandra, 49, is still living at their home in Cheshire's posh Alderley Edge which Jones has been trying to sell.
Jones has admitted in the past that he has pushed his wife to the limit. He said: "By the end of my time on Corrie she said she felt I'd become more like Les than the man she'd married."
He is due to appear before Prestatyn Magistrates on Wednesday under his real name Ian Roy Jones.

My wife and I met Bruce at a charity function a couple of years ago in Wimslow for the Boys and Girls Welfare Society and came across as a genuine human being the previous night there had been some trouble at Man City's ground during a charity night where Bruce was but at this event he was on his best behaviour and spoke to litterally everyone sadly a few weeks after came the famous incident which led to him getting sack from Corrie. The reasom I am leaving this comment is because I have just been on a website about Benidorm(not the series) but the resort and came across an article which mentioned that Bruce has just starred in a new film due out next year called Souled Out about my beloved Wigan Casino my best school mate was Micheal Rawlinson aka Mike Rollo a DJ at Wigan Casino who sadly died from a brain hemmorage in his 20s its taken a long time for someone to make a film about this place and is long overdue I look forward to seeing this film and hopefully it propels Bruce back into the limelight because as one comment said earlier his acting in Raining Stones was brill hopefully with this film he can emulate his mate Ricky Tomlinson and get back where he belongs. Keep your chin up Bruce.

Bruce Jones is a great actor, how can you say he can't act? His performance in "Raining Stones" was outstanding and he was brilliant in "24/7". The two great British directors who directed those films, being Ken Loach and Shayne Meadows, would also disagree with your silly comments. He played a great character in Coronation Street and I'm sure we'll see some great performances in the future.

Sorry I should have said Bridget Foley not Denise, Bruce has a heart of gold and has done much for charity including my own. Many a time I have been with Bruce and always there has been someone who wanted to goad and try to pick a fight with him. I for my part hope that all will turn out well for Bruce and his lovely wife.

I've met Bruce a few times and he has always been lovely. He has done a lot for charity and cares passionately about causes. I don't know why he has got to this stage but I do wish him the best as during my encounters with him he was always a gentleman

Ive no sympathy for him what so ever,
when i was on holiday in wales a few years ago,he was there doing an appearance and again he was drunk and swearing in front of kids with the "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" attitude hes arroggant and cocky so i dont blame his wife for kicking him out.
