SHAYNE Ward just beat singing dustman Andy Abraham to clinch the second series of X Factor in 2005 and is the only winner so far with two top-charting albums to his name.

Shayne, 24, still has his record contract with Sony BMG, and his high point was when debut single That's My Goal sold more copies on its day of release than the rest of the Top 40 combined.

His first two albums sold more than 1.7 million, and his third has been delayed but is due to be released in December - when he will be competing for sales with this year's winner.

Realistic about his role, Shayne said: "At the end of the day you are a product. I'm there to be sold and people earn off me while I'm trying to earn off them."

please please dont let this amazing talented handsome brilliant entertianer fade into nothingness.why hasnt he been in the public eye for so long.i spend my time searching the media and tv for word of him and hes not mentioned anywhere.cant anybody do something to get him back at the top where he should be.im so frustrated.

Love all the great comments on Shayne , he is the one and only. He has it all. Iv'e been to his shows and met him, Loved every minuite, he's fantastic, and deserves to be a huge star. All the best on his 3rd album, can't wait for tour.

Would love to see & hear more of Shane, definitly one of the best winners his vocal range was amazing. I still can remember his rendition of over the rainbow when he hit that high note, what a voice! And of course he is totally gorgeous also!! The guy has it all!!

Shayne is fantastic and i trully believe he will suprise people with a newer cooler sound that he has created. He has been able to write on this album and is collaborating with the best I.e Taio Cruz! So Shayne is around and he WILL be back, just give him his time, he is still young!

I thought Shayne was fabulous and still think he is great.

The question was raised 'why was his career further on down the road', quite simple, as soon as people found out about his family members background that was it for Shayne. Of course he should not be painted with the same brush, he is an individual and a great singer, but that is society for you.

I really wish Shanye the greatest of luck and hope that his career gets stronger and he has the stardom he deserves.

Shayne is a superb entertainer with an amazing vocal range and is by far the most versatile x factor winner and has achieved way more than most people think. His management should be ashamed of themselves as his record company should be too ! He should be a huge international star with his talents and looks so somebody should be taking him in hand and getting him the PR that he so needs and deserves ! Cant wait to hear this next album.

Reading through these various comments I have to agree. Shayne Ward has been by far the best X Factor Winner to date yet you rarely hear of him?? He has a fantastic voice(with a superb range) is an amazing perfomer to watch live yet the people?? that are responsible for the handling of his career seem to be doing him no favours.
If I were him I would be questioning why my career isn't much further down track than it is.
I look forward to hearing his 3rd album and seeing him back on TV, hearing him on the radio and splashed across the papers/magazines!
He deserves so much more success than he has had with the mega talent he has got!

shayne is a brillant singe,but he doesnt get enough support from simon or loius.he needs to be in the public eye more because he is the best singer to come out of x factor.he deserves more tv time and good luck to him in 2010.

I've seen him live twice and he was great, can't wait for the next tour. I agree though that publicity wise in the UK at least he has been let down. The gaps between his albums have been too great and between them its almost as though he does not exist. You have to go on his website to find out what he's up to and thats not updated that regularly. Every time he comes back its like he has to start all over again. Good luck with the third album Shane, I think you'll need it!! Luv u tho

He's the best X factor winner by a mile. I've been lucky enough to see him live and meet him too and he's such a lovely person with amazing talent. Can't wait til his next album!

We are now waiting 4 the 3rd album, which is out at Christmas!

Shayne does not get the promotion he deserves! I have seen him quite a few times now and he is fantastic on stage. He has a great voice and thats why I voted for him on x/fact. He is extremely hard working and derserves success. His 3rd album will be out at the end of the year. Am sure he has sold more than 1 million globally though. Good luck to him in 2010.
