JACKO'S sister Janet is also planning a custody bid for his three children - and has just split from her long-term lover, the News of the World can reveal.

She has told friends: "I love them and I'll step forward and raise them if this is what they want."

Singer Janet, 43, has formed a close bond with the children since Michael died, comforting them at his public memorial service in Los Angeles.

Her offer comes after she dumped boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. She told the music producer: "It's over. I've got to concentrate on my family at the moment."

Janet was furious that Jermaine, 36, skipped Michael's memorial service. A source said: "She told him it was his choice whether he came or not.

"She was obviously going to be with the family but he could have still been there. It was telling that he stayed away."

One friend said: "They've been heading in different directions. Working together on Janet's albums didn't help ."

I tìhink Janet shuld concentrate on getin married, settling down & havin her own children instead of hangin around MJ's kids. She is 43 & nt getin any younger.

I believe that Janet would make a wonderful Mom to these children. She certainly seemed to care very much for them at the memorial service and they seem to care very much for her. She has the youth to take care of them and Katherine will still be in their lives, but Joe shouldn't be an issue. I would think that this would be in the best interest of the children.

ichael himself said of all his family Janet Jackson was the only normal one of the lot.

Hus dad was an abusive man, and did Michael a lot of harm, as a result he was unable to have children in a normal way.

he certainly loved children, and was robbed of not only his childhood, but being a natural father to children he would have loved to have had.

Im not suprised to hear that M.j's kids were actually fathered by his former doctor. i would like to as him, what kind of human being does he think he is, to start his stories of being the biological father of those kids, when the tears are still flowing from their eyes? for debbie the dollars were the big deal.

janet was the one the girl turned to at the memorial they seem to be already close plus the age of the gran they might be too lively for her not saying she would be a bad mom ,janet to me would be a good choice she looks like she would be a tiger if anyone tried to hurt those kids.

Janet is the ideal person to bring up the children. She has made no money, to my knowledge, out of her brother's misfortune. Others have had a comfortable lifestyle at Michael's expense. As for those who fed this lonely genius a cocktail of drugs, let us hope that justic will be done. We love you, Michael, and no matter what they say about you, one day you will be vindicated. All those who have benefitted from your hard-earned cash will get their day of reckoning - rest in peace.

The children should be with debbi as their mum regardless of whether she took money. Who the hell offered it and gave it MJ.... He wanted the kids to himself and waved, and waved lots of money. People are surogettes for a lot less or even nothing.he did a kind thing for micheal for money. Now he's gone.. she should throw her hat in the ring.

He also wanted Kathleen to have em, and diana ross. No mention of Janet, letoya, any of the brothers... why not? Micheal knows... I don't. My opinion folks.

At the funeral the kids seemed really close to the jacksons hope if its what they want then Janet becomes guardian seems like a lot of love there i believe shes genuine.

i think the kids would be better off with Janet she has never tried selling Michael out in papers has always supported him And it successful in her own right and is the only normal one among them ,I mean take a look at how the rest of them have come out the wood work with interviews some of them havent been seen for years now they are all releasing there versions of how close they were to MJ and what they think has happened . Latoya mostly sickens me she was the one who went on Geraldos news programme on sky and stated she thought MJ was doin bad things with little boys with the sleep overs etc, what a change people take when something bad happens like Michael passing,
