GARY Lineker's fiancée used to date rugby pin-up Danny Cipriani, the News of the World can reveal.

Lingerie model Danielle Bux, 29, and England fly-half Danny, 20, were an item for six months-when he was just 18. A pal of Danny's recalled: "They were totally into each other. Danielle just fell in lust with him.

"She used to say, 'He's absoloutely gorgeous. One of the most beautiful men I have ever seen.'

"And Danny couldn't believe his luck either. He kept telling everyone, 'I'm dating this total babe.' " Danny was still living at home with his mum so the lovers would often stay at the five-star Royal Garden Hotel in London's Kensington.

They met when Danielle was living with the sister of one of Danny's team-mates.

But the romance fizzled out as Danny wanted to concentrate on rugby and Danielle wanted to date an older man.

Months later a friend set her up with England striker- turned TV pundit Gary, 47. and they got engaged in September.

Danielle is now set to walk down the aisle on the arm of dad Roy, who is just three years older than divorced dad-of-four Gary.

Scrummy mummy Danielle has a six-year-old daughter and is the face of lingerie firm La Senza.

Danny now dates TV host and model Kelly Brook, 27.
