I agree with Peter Thorpe: these 'celebrities' only get paid money as the staff who produce the magazines think they will boost circulation figures and bring in more advertising revenue. If people didn't buy them, circulation wouldn't increase and the people making the magazines won't pay the 'celebs' as there is no financial incentive for them. Easy!
