Jailed George out next week

SHAMED pop star Boy George is karma karma karma karma kar-ming out of prison next week - after serving just a QUARTER of his sentence.

The former Culture Club singer will be freed just FOUR months into his 15-month term for chaining a male escort to a hook in his bedroom.

Gay George, 47, will have an ankle tag and curfew when he leaves cushy Edmunds Hill jail in Suffolk. He has he has impressed staff there with his hard work as a £15-a-week pot washer.

But other lags are miffed that the star - whose hits include Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - is getting special treatment.

One griped: "George is getting out of here in the shortest possible time. He's been a good prisoner like a lot of us, but he does seem to have been treated with kid gloves and it's caused jealousy."

The singer - real name George O'Dowd - was jailed in January for falsely imprisoning Audun Carlsen at his East London home.

He spent a few weeks in London's tough Pentonville Prison before being moved to Category C Edmunds Hill, where Jade Goody's hubby Jack Tweed is serving time for attacking a taxi driver.

The Prison Service said: "We don't comment on the release date of individual prisoners."

George O'Dowd is an artist who is an Icon all over the world. Boy George is the greatest, unique singer of all time. George has inspired thousands of people to be themselves. Anyone that says bad things about George has issues. Save the hate
for people who commit horrible crimes.

MY GOD are some of you people out of your mind BOY GEORGE.....WHO he is a nobody now and lets face it was he really ever NO. He was found guilty and given a sentence and should have served his time like the rest and its not the first time his got him self in bother. The LAW is the Law and should be the same law for ever one not just mr joe public

Are you saying a paid escort can never be the victim of a crime? George never said the handcuffing was part of a sexual thing the escort was there paid to do. He said he handcuffed the escort against his will because he thought the guy stole some pictures from his computer And just because someone is paid to be there doesn't mean you can do anything you want to them against their consent.

Hello all you people ranting....are you all forgetting that the guy was a PAID male escort, what was he there for, tea and cakes? He was tied up for for ten minutes and probably paid for an hour.

Glad to see the CJS finally used their discretion and released George on tag. Hopefully his time behind bars has allowed him to reflect on what a talented and beloved person he is. Though I think he had already come to that conclusion shortly after the situation with the escort and changed his life accordingly.

To John, Paul and Debbie Johnson: if you are going to rant at least learn to spell and use correct grammar e.g. ex has-been: you can be an ex something or a has-been, not both.

Good luck George.
Many people say that you were released too early, but you did the crime and served the time.
Did you stab or murder anyone? no you didn't.
These animals get less sentence for their horrible crimes are are released early to commit the same crime again.
All the best George.

Absolutely overjoyed at this wonderful news.Welcome back George!! Soz I didn't write 2 u as planned.I thought i still had time and was waiting for a while thinking u probably would have had a mountain of post 2 get through in the 1st few wks anyway.
Words cannot describe the sheer feeling of bliss at your release.15mths was hardly fair seeing as u didn't lock the guy up that long!! .....This shows the justice system realises their mistakes sometimes thankfully!!!

Ive read comments that hes only out after serving just a 1/4 of his sentence because of who he is. Not true. Check the law.

I love George and I am so glad he is about to be released.I went to see him last year in Preston and it was my 1st ever concert .He was amazing.I just wish he had been on stage longer.I hope he tours again very soon in the north west.xxx

I hope George gets his life sorted out. He's very talented. But I think he did wrong in this case and the jail sentence was warranted. It was not a consensual act between two adults. George himself admitted he did handcuff the guy to the wall against his will because he thought the guy had hacked into his computer. Prostitutes do have rights and you can't abuse them. I think George needs some kind of therapy.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.
George never should be in Prision HE¨S NOT A CRIMINAL, he´s a great artist and a lovely man.
Furthermore, the act for which he was prosecuted was decided by two adults and therefore consent .

Honestly, the English justice is a disgrace to the rest of the countries like mine. Here justice prosecutes criminals not innocent.

HAPPY DEAR GEORGE I´M PROUD OF YOU. LOVE YOU FOREVER

By geoff.. Posted May 10 2009 at 4:10 PM.

Since when do PROSTITUTES have rights??? Glad the Boy is going home, he should not have been arrested even, in the first place!!!
N!k

By N!k.. Posted May 10 2009 at 3:44 PM.

He should not have gone to prison in the first place.

By Georgie fan.. Posted May 10 2009 at 3:56 PM.

He did not kidnap somebody!! The person went to his flat willingly and for heavens sake were handcuffed for less than 10 minutes. We are talking a male escort here not some random person that George decided to kidnap.

How stupid that people actually think that by being released George is going to do it again.

George is a remarkable man and has served far too long a sentance in my opinion and has done so with dignity and grace.

Do you not realise and nasty and spiteful you sound when you judge without knowing the real facts.

Okay he is getting out after serving a poultry quarter of his sentence. so because he is an ex hasbeen everyone is jumping up and down clapping and being hapy poor Goerge is coming home.
If this was ANY other normal CRIMINAL who was being released after serving a few weeks the same people would be getting petitions up and demanding the resegnation of MPs and judges for turning those bad men back onto our streets so early.
As usual all the sickofantic fans are blinkered to the possibillity that any of the ex celebs they loved decades ago could really be bad. it must have all been a big mistake surely and the many police and jury of his peers and well as judges just made a little error putting poor George in nasty old prison.
They decide to forget the man he kidnapped, chained to a wall and beat. this poor guy has now to live with the fact that even though he went through all that AND had to live it again during a very public trial. the man that did it is going to be out and walking the streets again so soon.
Justice seems to be one Law for celebs and hasbeens and another for the rest of us. I love the UK and would fight for all we stand for but some times the law and it's prison system is an ass.
He should be rotting in a cell for the full term as handed down by the judge for the scum that he let himself become.

Rant over

John

Debbie Johson:

When you have been tied up against your will and sexually abused then come on here and say he has done his time when he is released early.

By paul.. Posted May 10 2009 at 11:32 AM.

if he wasnt the sad has been he is, you lot would be saying keep him there to finish his sentence or have you forgotten what he put the guy through.

lock the sad pathetic excuse for a man up for ever and throw away the key. No doubt we will have to listen to the crap he has to say when it gets out.

By paul.. Posted May 10 2009 at 11:17 AM.

Hes served his time. What do some people want? kEEP HIM IN FOR EVER? People are so quick to pass judgement they need to look at there own lives first !

I am sure hes learnt by his mistake.

By Debbie Johnson.. Posted May 10 2009 at 11:28 AM.

I am confused, exactly how will George having a tag stop him from imprisoning people in his home?

By Karen.. Posted May 10 2009 at 10:17 AM.

im so glad george is gettin out monday :D x kevin(georges brother) also daivd(his other brother) are so happy x :D x im so glad :D xx

By georgia.. Posted May 10 2009 at 9:43 AM.

I am thrilled that he is being released. What I don't understand is how the British courts convicted him of this crime to start with. In the US it would have been "illegal restraint" , which is a misdemeanor. I quess there is a difference between the two countries. Glad I live in America!

By Jene' Rossini.. Posted May 10 2009 at 7:45 AM.

I am happy George is being released,I hope this made him become a better person.I really hope he gets back to doing what he does best write brilliant material and leave this far behind as a lesson he has to learn and move on to bigger and better things
