FANCY your chances? Not in a million leers, chaps!

Because bosom buddies Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna are on a Holly crusade against cheesy come-ons and cheapskate chaps.

The former flatmates - who play bitchy sisters Mercedes and Carmel in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks - told a magazine they hate men trying to chat them up.

Single Jennifer, 25, warns: "The simple answer is DON'T. If I like someone, I'll go up to them . . . but don't EVER interrupt me on the dancefloor!"

And she clearly prefers the strong and silent types - sending fellas who think they've got the gift of the gab packing.

Describing her worst date, she added: "I met a guy when I was drunk and agreed to meet him later in the week. It was a big mistake.

"He was boring and droned on and on. I told him that it was my mum's birthday and I had to be home for her party and left."

Pal Gemma, 24, is even more unavailable because she's engaged to her long-term love. But she adds: "If a man asks a woman out, HE should pay for it. It's the way things should be done."

Sussed

And Gemma claims to have sussed out how men work. She says most blokes "sit down and drink beer all day while watching sport on TV and then sleep for hours on end. That's all men seem to want to do from what I've seen."

The pair shared a flat in Liverpool for years and know each other's secrets.

But instead of dishing the dirt on each other, they prefer to clean it up.

Jennifer said: "We'd both leave mountains of hair in the shower but I love cleaning. I think I've got obsessive compulsive disorder, so keeping a house spick and span isn't a chore to me."

Gemma added: "It was the same really, we were both good at keeping the place tidy."

These girls are just as real as the uggoes you've kidded yourself into preferring; they just know they're attractive. You've just been kicked down by too much rejection.

And if you've ever been to a club you know how guys just paw at you, thinking that if you see them long enough you'll go home with them. Sometimes you really do need to draw the lines.

But god almighty what I wouldn't give for that figure.

how sad are these girls? and how in love with themselves are they? I actually think that's sad- they obviously attract the worst type of man! I know heaps of guys that do a hell of alot more than sit around all day watching football- if that's what she thinks all men want to do, she's clearly hanging around with the worst types! But lets face it, if you're going to be cheap and nasty, you're going to get cheap and nasty men after you.
