DANCING On ice star Ray Quinn is in a great position -tipped to win despite this tumble with Maria Filippov.

Ray, who got top marks from the judges in last week's show, slipped during rehearsals.

His fall was cushioned but his partner's head hit the ice.

The couple were trying a tricky new move in a rock and roll routine for today's show on ITV1.

Ray said: "It's definitely the most physical routine yet.

"It's hard because I can't put a step wrong. And I worry about hurting Maria."

russia also produces ther version of the show. The WORST dancers would leave all the Brits mikes behind. Do Britain have any champion dancers ? don't think so

i will laugh if he gets knocked out. he dances anyway so he knows the moves which is unfair on the others.

I completely love Ray. He has improved from week one, and I'm really annoyed with people& contestants saying it's not fair that he's had dancing training, and that he's already had an advantage, therefore the reason why he's good. I admit, dancing will help with his posture and possibly balance, but like 'halfpintkim' said, bonny langford was a professional dancer, a lot more professional and more experienced than ray, but no body said that she had an unfair advantage. Ray is just naturally talented. If there's anyone who had an unfair advantage in this years show, then it's Jessica Taylor, who had already been in training for a different ice-dance show before she began training for this ice-dance show.
I really hope Ray wins, he has improved so much, and he completely deserves it!

i wish ray quinn would stop looking shocked when he gets a 6 i had to laugh when jason gave him a 5 last sunday he is to smug for me and he knows he is going to win but you never no ray. so dont get too cocky

I just wanted to reply to the comment left about Ray, I cannot understand why some people have to be so negative about others, Yes Ray Quinn as done dancing and yes he is really great at ice skating, but as he said he has not had any training at ice skating before the show, and its not his fault that the other celebs are not as good as he is, and I don't think anyone had any with to say when bonny langford was on the show and she is a pro dancer is that because that was fair and its not for ray, and yes I agree that Donal is getting better every week, but you cannot keep holding against ray because he can dance, and the girl out of liberty X would have had dance training, and she could skate also and so could Zoe could skate, so I think people should leave the contestants along and just enjoy the show.

i have nothing personnel against ray quinn but has he improved since show 1 no because he couldnt he was already perfect i have watched every series but not anymore the spirit has gone everyone was suppose to be on an equal footing so to speak donal is 100 per cent better than week 1but he cant compete against ray it was suppose to be for people with no experience ray must have to work harder to fall for the video diary than he does for his routine
