Katona's shock weight-loss photos

KERRY Katona is looking great - but doctors fear her dramatic weight loss could be a recipe for disaster.

Our shock photos reveal how the ex Atomic Kitten has shed two stone in two months thanks to a tough fitness regime.

Helped by plastic surgery - a boob reduction and liposuction for her MTV documentary - Kerry is half the woman she was a year ago, losing around three stone in total.

But now doctors are warning of the dangers of yo-yo dieting and say the star could be risking her health to get slim.

Slurring

Dr Hilary Jones said: "There's no doubt that these pictures show a remarkably different Kerry from the woman who appeared slurring her words on Fern and Phil's sofa just a few months ago. That is certainly good news.

"That said, losing two stone in two months is not healthy. It's either down to crash dieting or gastric surgery - neither of which is ever healthy, especially in someone with an addictive personality.

"Although surgery eliminates the symptoms it does not address the underlying problems, so some cosmetic surgeons might feel that cosmetic surgery is inappropriate in somebody with an addictive personality.

"If Kerry's off the booze that's fantastic. If she's taking control of her life it proves it can be done - but there's always a risk that she won't be able to keep it up.

"There's always a risk that a patient can do well for a little while and then something happens - some bad publicity or an incident in their private life - and they revert to their old lifestyle.

"But for now Kerry has had her problems and she's recovered from them.

"If she feels fit and strong enough to face the spotlight again and can talk positively about her experiences there's a message for everybody in her position that they can come through it."

Ballooned

Her weight loss has enabled Kerry to get back the form that helped land her a place in glamorous girlband Atomic Kitten in 1998.

Her weight ballooned in the last four years, following her split from husband Westlife star Brian McFadden and four pregnancies.

In 2006 she was snapped looking totally chavved-up, munching burgers and chips topless on a sunbed, with her belly spilling over her bikini bottoms.

But by the end of 2008, after giving birth to her fourth child, the lass had got serious about her weight and was determined ditch her minger look.

Spurred on by ops to reduce her enormous chest from a GG to a DD and liposuction - she started exercising with her personal trainer and ditched the curry, burgers and booze in favour of more healthy grub.

And she really is very Kerry slim now!

give the girl a break, we all have good and bad days, except ours aint writen about... whats so wrong with being bigger anyway, shes older and weight is harder to maintain with age. not to mention having had four children.... i do feel sorry for her tho, only because of the nasty comments people go out of there way to express when lets face it they are pointless to any real life issue's...

I feel sorry for her she needs to kick the rat mark out and sort herself out so she has he illness undercontrol, he would stress her out without the illness she has he is just probably making it 10 times worse, He is a leach which has sponged all her money and her kids future money.
She needs to focus on her kids and her getting her life back on track , he has turned her into a public Joke and its not fair.
Get rid of him Kerry and sort your self out!

Well done Kerry, not for all the weight loss, but just for coming out the other side of your dark tunnel. I've always liked Kerry, she is a down to earth lovely person, she gets a bad press because she doesn't conform to the tabloids idea of little miss skinny who pouts for the mens attention. GO GIRLFRIEND. We real women (and girls....my 2 daughters like you too!) love you just for who you are!!!! whatever your size.

I realy like kerry since shes been with mark he has made her to be someone else,im so glad she is now looking after herself,and her appearance which we havnt seen in ages.You go girl keep it up and ditch the rubbish throw it out and build your career back,

She looks amazing! But that doesnt mean shes any happier.
I REALLY hope she keeps it up, and starts to work on her other deamons to really have the perfect body, mind and life she deserves.

Don't hold your breath. She will be back on drink and drugs before you can say hairy chest. It is her poor children I feel sorry for. A drunken mother and a father they never see.

I think she looks fantastic and so so much younger.
I think people are to quick to judge others, we all have problems during our life,it just happens that kerrys are always made public thats all.

If your fat its bad then if you one of those people who if you cut out all the bad food and the weight just falls off you and you go slim very quickly then thats bad too so you cant win . Everybody is different and people have to wise up to that fact.
