Steve deal's done for Gers

WALTER SMITH has promised to keep bringing in new faces after revealing Steven Davis is set to become his NINTH Ibrox recruit.

The Ibrox boss will complete the signing of midfielder Davis in 48 hours after agreeing a fee of around £4million with Fulham.

American Mo Edu watched Rangers' 2-0 win over Hearts after completing his £2.5m switch from Toronto though he still needs a work permit.

Davis is close to signing after months of wrangling. Smith said: "We've reached agreement with Fulham and still have one or two things to settle with the player but we are hopeful that one will go through in the next couple of days.

"If we get those two on top of the strikers we've already brought in, there's one more position we can maybe improve on."
