CELTIC manager Tony Mowbray fears Scott Brown could need ANOTHER ankle operation.

The midfielder went under the knife in the summer and saw a specialist in London for an injection four weeks ago in a bid to clear the problem up.

But Mowbray admits the Scottish international could be heading back south.

He said: "I think he's going to go back to see the guy in London. It's very frustrating for us all.

"Whether it's a time factor or an injection or a small operation, we'll have to wait and see."

Brown hasn't played since facing Hamburg on October 22. Mogga added: "The last time he had his injection he said he felt fine and he was moving well.

"Obviously, though, the problem hasn't gone away. One heavy challenge and he seems to be back to square one, so we need to get to the bottom of it.

"I'm resigned to not having him for the next few weeks, but we want Scott fit for the long term."
