Scorers: KILMARNOCK: Kyle (2) ST JOHNSTONE: Wright (og)

JIM JEFFERIES: I WOULD have taken a shocking performance as long as we got three points because we have been playing well and not getting results.
In the first half, we sat off them and gave them a lot of possession, but in the second we got on top and when we got the first goal you could see the confidence flowing through the team. I didn't give them too much of a roasting at half-time, we just said they had to calm down and start playing football. We deserved to win because of our second half performance.
DEREK McINNES: MURRAY DAVIDSON got fouled before the goal and I wasn't pleased that the ref didn't stop the game because he was quick enough to do it when Kevin Kyle got a knock earlier.I thought it was a free kick for us and between the ref and his assistant, they should have got it right.
I couldn't get the player back on and maybe Alan Main has had to compensate for our player not being there.
If I'm wrong and it wasn't a free kick, I'll apologise. That changed the game. In the first half, we had complete control but never worked their keeper.

KEVIN KYLE: FOR the first goal, I noticed Alan Main coming and managed to flick the ball into the net. For the second, I knew he was struggling to get back and I knocked it in. It's nice to get goals and now hopefully we can push on and start believing in ourselves. My job is to play well with Killie and if anything comes up with Scotland, great.
