WALTER SMITH: I THINK the first couple of minutes summed the game up. Hibs had a chance then we had one and the game continued in that vein. Hibs could have snatched it and so could we.

If chances won points then we had more but I thought it was a good game and HIbs deserve a lot of credit for the way they came here and played to their strengths. I was disappointed after ccreating chances that we didn't edge it.

We had a hat-trick of chances after we'd scored and we missed them all.

Scottish football's supposed to be in meltdown but I thought it was a really good game.

Lee McCulloch has a thigh injury and he's likely to be out for a couple of weeks and that's becoming a concern for us. We're running out of players.

Even the young players have had injuries. Andrew Little played against Celtic and was injured in the first minute and lads like Jamie Ness are recovering from knocks. It's maybe not the proper time to bring them in but we've no option and the likelihood is that we'll have to bring them in and give them a game.

JOHN HUGHES: FOR any neutral, it was end-to-end stuff and a great advert for Scottish football. We could have won it and so could Rangers. There were plenty of chances for both sides and I thought both goalkeepers were magnificent.

Rangers had clear-cut opportunities but we were very adventurous and I'm delighted we got something from a game that could have gone either way.

It was important we got something out of the game today. I said before the match that this would be a great indicator of where we are and I think most of the answers I got today were positive ones.

We haven't won anything yet and you can go from hero to zero in a week in this game.

We have to keep working hard as individuals and a team. The boys are playing with smiles on their faces and they're enjoying their football.

We've gone behind in a few games this season and shown a bit of character to come back and get something and it was good to see us doing that again today.
