BAD BOOS FOR CELTIC AS BHOYS FIRE BLANKS

TONY MOWBRAY: IN the past few weeks we've spoken about the defenders, who have come in for a bit of flak.

Today let's talk about the strikers and midfielders because today we lacked a bit of quality in the final third.

The positives we can take out of the game are that it was pretty much one-way traffic and that we created a lot of chances.

The negative is that we didn't score from one of them.

On another day, with the number of chances we had, you expect to score one or two goals.

We've scored in every league game before today and I don't think there will be many we won't score in.

But fair play to Motherwell, they're a good passing team and they kept possession very well. I don't know what the stats were but I wouldn't imagine the possession was far away from 50-50.

JIM GANNON: WE have to raise our game when we play Rangers or Celtic but really good players raise themselves for every game they play, not just the games at places like this in front of big crowds.

You often hear people talking about it being really difficult to come to places like this and play.

Don't forget it's difficult for Old Firm players as well because every single team they play will raise their game against them every time.

We try to play the game properly because if you kick the ball aimlessly up the pitch you give it away.

There's risk and reward in any game. You have to be courageous enough to try and keep the ball at whatever level you play at and we were confident enough to try and play.

I thought there were 10 to 15 minutes in the second half when we really threatened.

tony will get it right when he clears out the dross and brings in players who will play his way for 90 minutes ...the board should explain why so many quality players have been allowed to leave and have been replaced by poor quality players who are only hold back our youth players for the future...why have a youth system and then sign a load of players from the lower leagues ...build from scratch tony ..the real fans will back you ..hail hail..
