Explicit Australian drama Underbelly - dubbed the Down Under version of The Sopranos - will hit screens later this month.
And it's packed with so much sex and violence that TWO versions will be shown - a cleaner, early evening one and a late-night, uncensored episode.
Last night an STV insider told the News of the World: "Underbelly makes The Sopranos look like The Sullivans - it's full of boobs, guns and violence.
"It really is hard-core adult entertainment, the likes of which hasn't been seen on Scots telly before.
"It will blow people away and is so graphic we're having to screen two different versions."
The award-winning show was snapped up for Scots viewers after an STV script editor spotted it while on holiday Down Under.
The 13-episode series is based on the bloody real-life rise and fall of Melbourne crimelord Carl Williams.
It follows the brutal amphetamine wars which erupted in the city in 1995 and raged until Williams's arrest in 2004. He is now serving 35 years behind bars.
STV hope the show - which has scooped a string of gongs, including six Australian Film Institute Awards - will also prove a huge hit here.
Star Kat Stewart, 37 - who plays Carl's raunchy wife Roberta - said: "It is a universal story of power, greed, vengeance, lust and rivalry.
"I think our humour is similar to the Scots - so the audiences there will like it."
STV boss Elizabeth Partyka added: "It's one of this year's must-see shows."
UNDERBELLY starts on STV on February 22, 9pm. An uncut version will air on Thursdays at 10.35pm.
